Most forums for most industries are ghost towns and have been for years. If those forums were not industry specific names like GFY is and left unmoderated they might actually still have some life to them. When I started posting on GFY again I noticed things had changed, and patterns by non industry posters, and was curious what it was all about. I'm an A type personality that always likes to know how the pieces fit into the big picture, this is why I'm a successful early adapter to new platforms etc. A lot of us in porn are A type self starters, as are most entrepreneurs, etc.

The number of daily troll hate nics, posting is 2-3 and they have 2 fake nics each and 1 or two that occasionally post and take the place of one of the main nics when it's banned.

What would people be really interested in sharing about their business? I would never have tried to teach anyone how to find great models, shoot them properly and how to sell the content before we retired. This goes for most of the business people here.

So what's left other than promotional threads? Attracting affiliates, buying/selling traffic, etc.

Look at the number of signatures promoting the product the poster owns to see how right I am. Now think back to 2005 and the difference is obvious.
