anyways, your english is still better than Sarn's, voter of Putin

Been living more than 5 yeas in Malopolska, no view can change a gloomy, rainy, foggy, shitty weather. In general, a whole Polish weather is very wet and humid, so fucking wet agriculture knows no irrigation at all.

This relates to the WEATHER only. I love people, i speak the language, they honestly don't understand and don't know the weather is shit. Polish are very traditional and in general love their country. Please, do not put any politics in use, it's unrelated.

The only reason I was looking for a house that cheap is it's placement, Italy, near Portogruaro that offers all the range of services for a daily life.

I wasn't suggesting poland instead of italy, I was just saying that even in a "cheaper" country you would be hard pressed to find property THAT cheap, which makes it suspicious. Italy is expensive...

Hosing in rural parts of Italy (small villages) are very cheap. There were stories in the news where these rural villages would give you free house if you plan to live there more than X years. They were also giving free castles (under certain conditions) but these were in bad condition and would cost a shit load of money to repair. Even on rural parts of Sicily you could buy pretty cheap houses. On the other hand housing in bigger cities in Italy is expensive.

This is also quite cheap. €68k for a decent 80m2 appartment

it's all about possibilities and standards. You won't accept that level, I would. I lived 42 years in Soviet Ukraine, man, I give less fucks.

I will never understand your moving to Poland tho.

That's very easy to explain. Vancouver property is absurdly expensive, I would never own a home there - a flat at best. Arguably, I'd make the same money running my company if I live there or here, and the same money simply goes further here. By the standards here I'm quite wealthy - and thus have a much better lifestyle then I would in Canada despite the various downsides of Poland.

That being said, the area around Krakow is the smoggiest part of Poland, most of the country really isn't that depressing.

Those properties you are looking at, you need to remember that:
- Living in some rural villages further from major cities, you will not have good internet access, you might be stuck with some mobile-network internet and get 2mbits.
- You will stand out like a sore thumb
- Renovating those places in italy will cost much more then in PL or UA because of the labour costs (unless you plan to lay tiles/electric/etc yourself)
- You will have more problems with language barrier, even ordering a stupid garbage container for your renovations might be a problem if the company doesn't speak english.

I would suggest staying in Poland but get out of Krakow. I highly recommend where I am, or check out a place here called Sobótka about 30km from here. Mountain city, fiber to most of the houses/apartments, and overall really nice/not depressing.

That area is ok, there are several well kept houses aside. But, due to certain non-EU restrictions I would struggle with that kind of property.

As to your suggestions, found several Sobotka based properties I could afford to buy on spot, Tyniec Maly seems to have no offers I can afford right away.

I love Krakow, but last year was so fucking smoggy . . . it stays the same, people keep running heating using coal and garbage. It's a real problem, 2018 should bring in a new law but it's execution is questionable. Also, prices have gone up, they keep building new blocks around the city but even being new they are being built close to each other, reminds me about Kiev tho in Kiev they pump 20 stories + ).

Sobotka, 35 kms to Wroclaw, it's epically suburban, seems like that. Back from Italy, will take a drive around that area to check it out. Again, pricing is good.

Thanks for your input.

Tyniec Mały, if you afford it, is great. I practically don't have to leave the area to go shopping for anything, really close to downtown, and by the end of the year whole village will have fiber to the home. It's really quiet, we have a super nice brand new school too. Very close to Wrocław and very close to A4/S8 highways.

I don't know what your budget is but there's a developer making some town-houses that are reasonably priced: http://tynieckiezacisze.pl/

Check out also "Domasław", "Bielany Wrocławskie" and "Żerniki Małe". Those are all villages very close to me.

Check out Dzierżoniów as well. It's a little further out then Sobótka, and Sobótka has much more "nature" feel to it but the property is cheap and if you don't mind buying something with a shittier looking interior and renovating, it may be the way to go.

https://www.otodom.pl/sprzedaz/dom/dzierzoniow/?search[description]=1&search[order]=filter_float_price%3Aasc&search[dist]=0&search[subregion_id]=33&search[city_id]=1186

You'd have to rip off all the wallpaper and change the communism bathroom, but https://www.otodom.pl/oferta/wolnost...U.html#gallery[11] comes with 5000m2 property...

But overall as I wrote - Sobótka if you want cheap, peaceful nice and out of town, or try to find something around me if you want to be closer to the city (ie for when kids go to college).

wroclaw is expensive, and not give you benefits for that higher price

i know that, because i moved from wroclaw to south to 200k city, i still have flat in centre
and living here is much more simple, better
people have beautiful houses, big plots, tons of beautiful places, mountains, hotels, restaurants, for spending free time
roads are very good, no traffic jams, everything is fast and smooth, air is clean and you have more time for yourself and family
even in hospitals more free space, everything is no problematic

when i go back to wroclaw i become angry, for that slow car motion, big holes, poor angry people mixed with rich and tourist

Well, I lived all my life in a block, and I'm really a city guy. My older one goes to the 7th grade ( according to a new reform ), so thinking a bit ahead about college def draws a picture of a home somewhat close to the city. A 2-3 bedroom, 65-90 sq.m. would be ok, can be a 3-5 storey block or townhouse ( perm residence makes it easier to buy a piece of land ).

I'll write you an email.

generally speaking houses/ flats in Spain, Portugal and many places in Italy are cheaper than in Poland. if you compare them at the same level...there are few exceptions to that, however its like that

:-) I'm in Lower Silesia now, drove (once again in this life) like 400 km today on r. 35 and 8, some smaller roads and I love this region :-)
maybe because it was always german, has german heritage and was kind of built later by migrants from Poland and USSR (after 2nd world war)...everyone is somehow fresh blood here, just like new young students and now Ukrainians....
just like I love Mazury in Poland, also ex- german places :-)
I still like Wroclaw, huge sentiment for this city, but yeah, like you said - sometimes its ridiciously expensive for what it offers - rent is one of such examples....I saw some roads fixed today around PKP, but I still see potholes on the pedestrian zone and lots of dogs shit :-)
"air is clean" ? where do you live ? also in the winter ?
Poland and Bulgaria have most polluted cities in EU, but maybe yiu had luck

wroclaw is expensive, right, i wrote the same
and you not get anything good, better forthr price

you are wrong that poland is most polluted country, look at current maps
germany or france is worse

germany or france is worse
where are green luges of europe?
maybe wilderness in poland?? its not that bad as you say for sure
Dude. First I came to Poland as a student back in 1989. Lived in the central Krakow. Since the train station is in the very city center I thought the smell was caused by trains, how wrong I was!! Even in Ukraine there is central heating in EVERY town, even villages use gas!! But polluting the air in Krakow is massive, it's so backward I can't believe it's EU. Epic Fail.

Krakow is different thing, i agree, but its not only matter of pollution but
location of the city, surrounded by mountains

there is central heating, but very old building does not have access to it
on ukraine you had gas for free from russia, so its different thing too
gas in poland is expensive

krakow is worse than wroclaw because of this, there is very high cancer ratio
so its stupid paying so much for properties there and live shorter

better stay in wroclaw

i live 100km from krakow in straight line

Yes but what's he gonna do in shitty italian village? Ride bicycle and eat kebab, plus bonus of not understanding a word of italian so even buying milk from store is a problem It's not like house in middle of milan costs 40k euros. Sobotka has lots of restaurants, skiing close-by, it's not that bad. It's not a big city, but if it's big city then it just ends up same as wroclaw. You can argue all cities in poland are shitty in their way. Wroclaw has traffic, Gdansk looks like a fucking filthy slum, Lublin is only pretending to be a city, etc. The guy has kids, the kids speak ukranian and presumably polish by now, it will be easier for them with school etc if he just stays in poland and gets out of krakow.

Sobotka is really nice scenary, everywhere he has to go is uphill so exercise and good for health, and close enough to wroclaw if he has to buy something he cannot on the spot and when kids go to university.

IN Ukraine. Nothing was or is free. It's simply pre-historic using coal in the city, it's fucking unbelievable. Expensive? Lungs are at stake.

Nah, mate. It's only 2 kms from Portogruaro. It has even Decathlon LOL and a big mall, the central city is very charming. Every weekend can be spent near the sea. It's a very good location.

That's also true. I'm a bit concerned tho its 35 kms from Wroclaw. It's not 2kms from Wroclaw, yo!

Klinton, one more time you are so wrong

look here and not on anymous reddit post

Air Pollution in Europe: Real-time Air Quality Index Visual Map

i don't see more pollution in poland in comparison to the rest of europe
notice, north italy... where sid want to buy home and compare to poland
or see austria alps or south france

but i think its matter of climate, Air currents not just pollution

you believe in stupid propaganda, its money, "poland needs pay more because air is so polluted (buy carbon certificates)"
"poland need to close industry", "poland should close carbon mines " "poland should buy atomic power station from france or germany" "poland needs more new germany cars" etc etc,
thats why they tell that you that air is so polluted
and you believe in anything negative about poland

"real time" on this map is word- clue.
please come back here and look at this map in October, November, December, January, February, March,April - its more than half of the year.
the real problem in polish cities that cause pollution are: heating of the houses from the coal/ god knows what (i would say: 70 % of issue) and old diesel cars. these two are most significant.
as for coal power plants - well I'm aware that modern coal plants are not that bad (look above for the main problems in cities). the problem that I see in coal is: its economically uneffective, unless you think that its effective because it gets 80 % subventions from the state
polish coal is so deep these days inside earth thats its cheaper to import coal from australia, russia or even africa, where it still lays close to surface...
i dont care from where we will buy nuclear technology..can be even russia..also i dont see problem why we couldnt develop it by ourselves...
as for the end of the post - well it seems like you would be repeating someone's propoaganda, but what do I know...
I feel hearing such arguments like your last sentences like i would be in venezuela
its also never their fault that their country is fucked up and they government are stupid crooks...its always a fault of imperialists, USA, low oil prices (put anything here)..."but they work hard on it to maintain nation's well being, just give them one more chance"
