Paxum exchange rate dollar -> euro

The exchange rate of Paxum is always worse than the market exchange rate.
Why is that?
As of today :

Paxum: 1 dollar = 0,851 euro ($1000 -> 851 euro)
Market: 1 dollar = 0.877 euro ($1000 -> 877 euro)

It's Ironic when you think 1.17 is smaller than 1.14

Possibly double dipping from the bank and/or Paxum themselves. There are very few places you can exchange at true "market rate". Often that is only multi million dollar businesses directly bank to bank. Everywhere else where you have some type of middle man or agent, someone along the transation will usually take a cut.

crooks , when u exchange they say fx is typical credit card rate 2.5-3.5% but this not the reality . kiosk rate will be used instead 5.5% after all deductions bank+fx+machine .

mastercard then tell you if like to see today rates you have to visit tomorrow it will not update with mid-market , imagine if this bitcoin you can lose all your coins.

It's not clear if the OP is talking about exchanging funds inside the account (or in other words, transferring between the USD and EUR Paxum subaccounts) - or using his Mastercard to buy things in another currency.

Different exchange rates are used for the two operations. In account exchange rates are set by Paxum, other by Mastercard I believe.

To avoid the horrible in-account exchange rate, one solution can be to withdraw yours funds using an USD wire to an USD account, then use some better service to exchange to EUR.
