Has the EU got Europe locked into its grasp?
The EU isn't interested in the future of Europe, they're only interested in the future of the EU.
We see that with Brexit negotiations, they will make Europe poorer to punish the UK. We also saw that with the Euro, migration, ECJ, even the worker's rights laws they passed did very little to protect workers rights in Europes leading economic countries. They were negated by mass migration. They did this by stealth. Taking a perfectly good trade deal between Europe countries and then imposing their EU over that. Rarely offering the people of Europe a say in the form of a referendum, ignoring the result when they didn't vote as told to and carrying on regardless. |

The EU will do anything to punish the IK for deeming to leave. Even if it means harming European businesses. It has no options though. If it secures a great trade deal with the UK it guarantees jobs for Europeans. But that would signal its demise as other countries choose to leave.
