I can tell you that mining Bitcoin is unlikely to be profitable. I mine other coins, and the various tricks I use to run my mining operation are not something that you'd find in a tutorial.

My friend tested last months with mining. He got 1,5 BTC.
If he had bought bitcoins than in december, instead of mining equipment, he would have 3 BTC.
