How do you think about game hunting?

It seems like more and more kids are hunting for fun and abusing animals on Youtube. Does no one care about this stuff anymore or is society just becoming more violent...

We've always ate meat and always killed things. If anything society is much less violent than it has been.

Anyone abusing animals, even kids, deserve incarceration.

We also have been rapists and murderers for far longer than civilized humans, I don't see how that reflects what are like now.

Just playing devils advocate, I don't hate on hunters. Just curious why it's becoming more fun for kids to abuse animals and show it off.

I love to fish, never was into hunting. Hunting deer, ducks, and stuff for meat is 100% ok with me. The fuckers that kill lions, elephants, and shit like that suck ass.

I grew up hunting and fishing, I even carried a .22 rifle to school in 2nd-7th grade and I would hunt after school. ( I would make worldwide headlines today but I would never ever have even pointed the gun at a person who was not a real and direct threat) I learned a lot fishing and hunting but I didnt do it so much for sport as for food, I loved squirrel rabbit and quail duck and dove and my mom would cook it for dinner or breakfast when I had enough in the fridge for a family meal...but I never killed anything I didn't eat. Hunting just to kill something is way way wrong for me. I think the discipline and responsibility as well as the self sufficiency I learned is something sorely lacking in people these days. I was in 2nd grade in 1965 I unloaded the gun and kept it in the coat closet till time to go home....nobody freaked out, nobody played with it or even touched it....it certainly isnt like that now.

In what ways is keeping animals in cages and then killing them for food any better? Or are you against killing of animals for food altogether?

i overheard 2 hunters at airport recently.talking about what is best to kill (for fun... just "to kill"), one of the old guys even mentioned how some rare donkeys on the land are illegal to kill but he still likes to "pick off those dumbasses for the hell of it". it was a disgusting conversation to be overhearing

Sort of funny to realize the murder rate was probably higher then. We just did not advertise it.

My heart is too good for hunting.
Some libbies, though, would not mind it - they even wish death to people.

That isn't hunting though is it? That's just a bunch of assholes dragging a shark. I'm sure you know fine there's a difference but that wouldn't fit your narrative so all hunters must be bad and abusing animals.

Try thinking for yourself.

Edit: In fact the complaint itself in the video is coming from a hunter so that shoots your whole argument to shit right there.

Depends how it's managed. In Northern Spain there are wolves, they were nearly hunted to extinction, but in the 70's that changed and they became a protected species.

The problem is, they are the apex predator, so the population was starting to get too big. Killing livestock etc..

So they now agree an amount to be killed each year, to keep the population level.

Not an expert on this, but, I am fine with big game hunting, as long as it to control population and the money spent on the hunt goes back into the local environment and economy.

I disagree with Jimmy Kimmel and others saying hunting should be done just for food. If an African person kills to feed their family, the animals could all be killed off in a matter of time with no control. If an African person gets a high paying job working as a hunting guide, or controlling poachers so that he can feed his family. Seems like a good deal.

From my understanding, The meat from these hunts go back to the locals as well.

I personally don't like to see bow hunting, Some say it is more fair for the game. But to me, It seems like a slow death though. A quick bullet to the head, That is the way I would like be taken down.

Can't believe I shared my opinion here. Usually I just say, "yes, that is bad".

If you need to hunt to eat to feed yourself, that's one thing.

But anyone who thinks that killing an animal with an overwhelming amount of firepower and technology is "Sport" is a fucking lunatic.

We all have to eat so killing for food is a necessary. Killing for sport is pretty deranged.
