Do you still bother with rechargeable AA Batteries?
When the regarable AAs arrived about 10 years ago, I used to use them all the time for pretty much everything that used batteries. These days, not so much, I just buy Duracells in bulk from amazon.

Still using them, not so much for saving money but for environmental reasons.. (but haven't looked more in-depth if the rechargeable ones aren't made with more environment unfriendly components or not..)

I never got into using them because I didn't use anything that required batteries except
a "boom box" and the boom box was always plugged in to a socket anyway. Now only my mouse and keyboard need batteries; but only after months of use. It's not worth the time or effort to recharge when I can buy a years supply of batteries really cheap.

Honestly, it should be what we all use, but the battery companies don't want you buying them. Selling disposable batteries is profitable, selling rechargeable ones isn't good for them in the long run..

many years ago when I used shit that sucked juice like a crackwhore, mainly monster boom box for the beach, these days what really uses batteries, smoke detectors, (2) 9 volts a year, alarm clock (1) 9 volt battery backup, ton of remotes but only need 1 universal one with a few AA or AAA which last a year+, CR2032 for push button car start FOB that last a year+ so don't really use enough batteries to need to recharge them

And bother with putting it in some stand etc is less convenient than not bothering at all for a year or 2 and then switching to new batteries. Not much extra benefit (plus probably cost more) = reason why it is not this way, IMO. |

most of the modern stuff all plug in USB to charge, flashlights etc... Duracell came out with an AA called 'mp3' about 6-7 years ago... the fucking batteries lasted so long Duracell stopped making them lol!

I only use rechargeable batteries except when i buy something that comes with batteries. All my trashcans use batteries, my candles etc. If I was to use non-rechargeable batteries I would go through so many it would be way too expensive.

Actually no, not really. My local shops sold packs of 2 or 4, maybe 8 etc... But always at a premium price. I couldn't bulk buy and get a discount like I can today.

I used to use rechargeable batteries for the flash on my camera... But I haven't used my camera in years. The only thing I use that takes batteries is my mouse.

nope, I just buy in bulk cause they are so cheap and I only use AA these days. Today everything comes usb rechargeable and I wish remotes did too but it's too much of a hassle to take batteries out to recharge them.

I have some other high end brand at my studio that also works really well. I use Eneloop batteries. I so swear by them! I did so many tests with them and others. I use them for sound, flash, triggers, etc. They can hold a charge for a year and minimal drop off. Im that guy that does the research when I buy stuff. I hate buying stuff more than anything in this world. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JHKSN76...=4324048010501 I have about 60+ of these between my studio and house. I loose them before they go bad. You can't go wrong with these. They also make sleeves to make them fit in C and D slots to kids toys. Pretty cool. Just Dave

I use rechargeable AAs for my flash, but not much else.
Also, 10 years? AA NiCad batteries have been around a lot longer than that. |

I use GP rechargeable batteries. I don't advise no one to use them. A year later they don't live long after charging.
How long have you been using Duracell re chargeables? |

Yes, my mistake in not realizing how fast life passes me by these days. I really meant the late 90s and the early 2000s... Looking back it only seems about 10 years ago.

About a year, they have them at Costco for a decent price. I have been using different brands of them for years. Like to use them for my Flash, fairly good recovery time, although I had better.
