I need some information/help please.
I am dealing with hundreds of thousands of files, even into the millions on occasion. To move or delete folders and selected files using what is provided with Win 7 Pro takes far, far to long.
Do any of you know of third party software that will move and or delete, with some speed, folders and selected files. I don't want a script but I do want software. Either free or paid. I have downloaded a few but have yet to find anything that is satisfactory. |

I don't want to do that. I want the capability to manipulate them at will in a relatively short time frame. Windows move and delete takes hours and hours of time and surely there must be third party software that will do it faster.

You would be using the cloud servers that are way more powerful than your machine - You can even mount them as local drives - The Cloud is not just about storage, it's about computational power to get what you need done fast - You need a 1000 hours of video converted, moved and deleted by the morning? - No problem...

Found one and it is free. It does in just a few minutes what it takes multiple hours to do using the built in Win 7 feature.

TeraCopy. Is very fast and does all that I need it to. I recommend it if you are dealing with large folders of files or select large numbers of files and you want to copy, move or delete them. I am dealing with hundreds of thousands of files and sometimes a million or more.
Great tool and it is free. |
