language is super interesting to me... are you aware that the southern dialect is a dialect from western England that is no longer used in merry ole just as the 'French' dialect in nolo is no longer used in France... language is a great way to track a people...

But ‘perfect’ is ‘perfekt’.

In this area or a little North, they mispronounce many words. New ‘Bedford’ is New ‘Beffa’, wrestling is ‘rasslin’, himself is ‘hisself’, etc

Worst pronunciation I ever heard was in Boston, Cambridge actually. Woman from Medford (Meffa) told me she had eggs for ‘breffasiz’. Breakfasts
