Reality: Once again - he campaigned on this promise. He won the election. He's fulfilling the promise. People are not used to this concept in the political world.
More reality: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerusalem_Embassy_Act "The Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995[1] is a public law of the United States passed by the 104th Congress on October 23, 1995. The proposed law was adopted by the Senate (93–5),[2] and the House (374–37).[3] The Act became law without a presidential signature on November 8, 1995." Check out those numbers for and against. "On June 5, 2017, the U.S. Senate unanimously passed a resolution commemorating the 50th anniversary of reunification of Jerusalem by 90-0. The resolution reaffirmed the Jerusalem Embassy Act and called upon the President and all United States officials to abide by its provisions." I don't know if this is a good idea or not. What I do find interesting is pretending that this is an all Trump move and done for no reason at all. |

Its done to keep Jared the Jew happy.. end of story.
I wonder how many bodies it will take to call it a bad deal? 10, 100, 1000? 10,000? and how long that 10,000 will take? There's a reason it wasn't moved before. 35,000 now arrived protesting more than 100k expected, what can possibly go wrong? |

Israel just needs to get the Palestinians some Creset Moon patches for these peoples clothes and some signs for their doors.
They've come almost full circle might as well get their final solution.. |

Not being an expert on this issue like everyone else here obviously is, I just don't know how this will end up. I wish I could have such certainty at all times - it must be awesome.
I also wasn't aware that Jared the Jew had the power of Congress in 1995. Similarly, I didn't realize keeping Jared happy was primary U.S. policy and that's just the end of the story. Yes, wait a minute - that was the campaign promise Trump made. If elected, I promise to make Jared the Jew happy. Now I recall. Thanks for the refresher. Learn something new every day from the political school that is GFY. |

All the other Presidents didn't promise the people that voted for him that they would.
Like I have said - I don't know enough to say if this is good or bad in the end. Here is a CNN article from yesterday saying it could help things. https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/11/opini...ntl/index.html When I don't have enough knowledge to know, I generally don't have a concrete opinion. Some people should try it. |

I'm trying not to be that way, brother! I realize I am not doing as well as I'd like.
It seems to me that reasonable, intelligent people can experience the same thing and come to different conclusions. I might like lobster mashed potatoes and you find that same bowl disgusting. People have different tastes in multiple ways. I admit, I don't understand this embassy move either. The only good thing I can come up with is that the previous criminals didn't do it. To me, that means something. Other than that, I don't understand what we get out of it. |

I am merely pointing out what would seem self-evident. This is not just a Donald Trump doing whatever he wants thing. It's long-term U.S. policy - he promised to implement it and he did. Based on the rest of our current strategy, I would assume it has something to do with the changes that are coming soon to Iran. Normally, I'd be as worried as you guys but he keeps calling things right, so I give him the benefit of the doubt. I also believe Israel has their own U.S. face slap coming. We're not stupid as to what they have been doing. And saying this move is only to "keep Jared the Jew happy - end of story" is very adult - and provable - right? Grow up. |

all is well...its a religion of peace. they are so sophisticated and progressive and have so much support in the arab world in the Palestinian areas that they still have refugee camps after 80 fucking years and have refused almost every single proposal for peace since Israel was formed, they strap bombs to their kids, they have had school books which children to do math problems in dead Jews, they hide rocket launchers in playgrounds and fire them at other woman and children, they have no qualms about murdering innocent men, women and children to make a political point, they elected a terrorist organization to lead them... but yeah, let's really worry about their opinions and take them seriously. clearly, everyone else and what everyone else does is the problem... since no one has bothered pointing the finger at them... ever, no matter how vile their behavior is or how many innocent children they murder.
besides, we see how trying to appease those who don't share your values at all in London and elsewhere in England has worked. spectacular success. even more brilliant is electing a mayor of London who doesn't share your values and then empowering and emboldening the worst of society who've now gone stab happy - while putting others in jail for making a simple twitter comment or pointing out the obvious problems. |

How about keeping the campaign promise of draining the swamp, cheaper healthcare and prescription drugs. None of which he has done!

Difficult where to start, let's just say that this is yet another conflict where it pays off to actually know the history before coming up with emotional and often misinformed conclusions.
For starters, how many do know that Hamas (an organization of the Muslim Brotherhood) has the destruction of the state of Israel in their charter, officially? In order to understand the underlying context, one may need to know that, according to the doctrine of of Islam, once a territory was conquered by Islam, it is forever regarded as rightfully belonging to Islam. Since Jerusalem was at one point conquered in offensive Jihad by the second rightly guided Caliph Umar (the original Al Aqsa Mosque originated in this era and was built as a memorial of conquest), it is still claimed by Islam. Same as the whole state of Israel - called "Harbiyah" in Palestine, "Harb" meaning "war" in Arabic. This sentiment is very much alive. As long as you put things into perspective, including I guess about 82 pct. of votes in the last elections held in in 2006 going to two parties utilizing violent Jihad against the state of Israel (Hamas, Fatah), and historically declining any sort of deal that there ever was offered (not to mention that any Palestine politician signing a deal with Israel, no matter how benefitial, would likely be assassinated on the spot). There really appears to be no other long term goal in this conflict. Apart from Palestinian Authority being a constant black hole for donations worldwide (the amount of money / transfers invested into the PA is quite staggering).

so much winning. Have to save those Chinese jobs
"Too many jobs in China lost. Commerce Department has been instructed to get it done!" Trump wrote in a tweet Sunday. President Trump says he's working with China to save ZTE

I do get that this might be a good thing in the long run. We don’t get to choose where their capital is and we can’t ignore their choice. So this might push the narrative. The problem should be resolved at some point. |

Decades? Maybe with the U.S. but there has been nothing but violence and unrest in the Middle East since the beginning of recorded history. There is no reason to think it is going to stop now.

Trump has Jared heading the Middle eastern " peace talks"
"Jared believes that the return of Jews to Israel will usher in the apocalypse and the return of Christ, after which Jews who don't convert will burn forever." This is the guy whose also a Trump whisperer and banging his daughter. It's a consummation of the cynical alliance between hawkish Jews and Zionist evangelicals, It has nothing to do with world or regional peace. if anything its specifically designed to disrupt that peace. Its a spectacle of grotesque proportions, geared toward Donald Trump's Christian American base, coincided with a massacre about 80 kilometres away. The juxtaposition of images of dead and wounded Palestinians and Ivanka Trump smiling in Jerusalem like a Zionist Marie Antoinette tell us a lot about America's relationship to Israel right now. |

Trump did not mention in that tweet or its follow-ups that on Thursday, the developer of a theme park resort outside of Jakarta had signed a deal to receive as much as $500 million in Chinese government loans, as well as another $500 million from Chinese banks. Trump’s family business, the Trump Organization, has a deal to license the Trump name to the resort, which includes a golf course and hotels.

Petition Title - Infrastructure Short Description - We, The People, ask President Donald Trump to wave a magic wand and create infrastructure. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How Long Does It Take to Build a Single-Family Home? | Eye On Housing "The 2014 Survey of Construction (SOC) from the Census Bureau shows that the average completion time of a single-family house is around 7 months, which usually includes around 25 days from authorization to start and another 6 months to finish the construction. The timeline from authorization to completion, however, is not consistent across the nation, depending on the housing category, the geographic location, and metropolitan status." Wave that magic wand, President Trump! If we can get a single family home built in 210 days surely you should have fixed America's infrastructure in 479 days. And not like anyone would be fighting you about it, either! It would be clear sailing! |
