Other than imported milk in baby formula the average Chinese consumer has absolutely no exposure to American products. Their market is closed like a drum.
The trade imbalance cannot go on as it is and this is an important first step. In fact once their export economy slows down it will put the entire CCP power structure in peril. |

China only does 23% of their trade with the USA, so good luck with those sanctions.
The problem is not now, but access to the Chinese market as they grow, face it in 15 years you can manufacture at 100% and sell the lot to China and they still won't have enough, so any trade imbalances will eventually even out. China don't need a trade war at this point in time, I expect Xi to flip Trump 200 billion to appease him and his followers, he'll fuck you back later for it though, that's guaranteed. |
