Have a question. When buying backlinks on a site. Whats the most important data to look at other then making sure it fits your niche. PA, traffic, age, or anything else?

With niche porn sites we don't trade with anyone using link trade scripts.
It would be too easy for google to kill these sites fully.

Your title is confusing though "What to look for with trades" while you talking about buying hardlinks. There is a difference.
But yeah anyway, I PERSONALLY don't really worry too much about DA/PA. As my site outrank some of the higher sites on keywords (incl. pornhub for example). And those (important) DA/PA can be faked as well. There is a lot of so called "high quality" DA/PA sites here, but they don't get any or barely SE traffic. So you have to watch out for that. What you want to look for when looking you are trying to buy QUALITY hardlinks is that THAT particular site is getting SE traffic! And how they rank according to google! (I use semrush.com or duckduckgo.com to check it) You know that when google gives them a high rank (top 3/10 positions), that means that google loves their site too. And if they link you, that can only be a good sign, right? Also you need to make sure that they don't ONLY rank for their brand, but for different keywords too. A lot of people use alexa.com to determine the quality of a site as well. But you shouldn't put too much value in it, as that can be faked too. However there is a graphic line (? not sure if you called that) that you can use to see if they grow naturally or not. A spike in alexa 'usually' means they faking or sending bot traffic to boost their rank. And if they go from rank 1 million to > 100 000 in a month, you know that they are faking traffic too. So be careful with that. I also use it to check WHERE their traffic is coming from together with similarweb.com. I think those are the most important data to look for when you buy links. Good luck with your search in quality links ;) |

I'm sure that the ratings of the site play an important role. Yes, they can be screwed. Google calculates these parameters for ranking. I look at traffic, DA, PA, Alexa rank and other.
