Ford announces 24,000 layoffs due to losing $1 Billion from Trump tarriffs
MAGA!
Ford is the second largest auto maker in America Ford Prepares for Mass Layoffs After Losing $1 Billion to Trump's Trade Tariffs | Fortune Ford is having a bad year in 2018. Its stock is down 29%, and the tariffs imposed by President Trump have reportedly cost the company $1 billion, as the company is in the midst of a reorganization. Now, the company is announcing layoffs. While reports have indicated that the job cuts are likely to come early next year, The Kansas City Star reported Tuesday that Ford has temporarily halted production of transit vans in Claycomo, Mo. The move is intended to build up Ford’s inventories of the vans, but it will leave 2,000 workers idle between Oct. 22 and Nov. 4. Full story at link at top |

You've said yourself you want China back to 3rd world status...how do you think Trump's going to hit back at China without tariffs and trying to force some of these companies to bring these jobs back?
Trump's doing what you want him to do so stop crying. Shit might get a lot worse but in the end we will look back and say Trump was the guy we NEEDED to do the right thing. Any other politician bought and sold by these Washington lobbyists would have never fucked with China. Trump's doing GOD's work here.

Nobody wins in a tarriff war
Trump sprung the tarriff war on American businesses and fucked with STEEL of all things! You support a man in charge of our economy that's businesses went bankrupt 4 times and lost a $25 million dollar federal consumer fraud lawsuit and you think he gives a shit about the little people He hates Chinese dominance as much as I do but the tarrifs were a bad move for American businesses. |

Remember way back when?

Well, remember what they did with the bailout money, once they got it? They used it to move some of their plants to other nations to take advantage of cheap foreign labor. So now, tariffs are biting them in the ass? Fukkem.

couple points.
1. Ford sources 95% of its steel from US steel manufacturers. THEY raised their prices on account of the tariffs and I'm unsure why. Why not is my guess. did the smart people in the room know that's a consequence of a trade war? maybe trump should bail out Ford like he's doing with $5B to farmers? the other big point imo is from my understanding Ford has been horribly mismanaged for a while now. You don't see GM suffering from the tariffs. |

if trump managed to bring back jobs to the USA, that currently has "record employment" this would have to result in a raise in wages...lack of work force = labor prices go up...labor prices go up = you become less competitive....you become less competitive = jobs go to shit... more basic economy: you better be sucking the shareholders dick good or they will find other shit to invest in...if you touch their profit margin by employing expensive workers, you get fucked by the ones who did not employ expensive workers... more basic economy: international markets, as well as US domestic markets, obviously want cheap shit...the proof is in the pudding, your jobs went away because cheap shit sells and nobody gives 2 shits about "made in USA"...even trumps maga hats more basic economy: global sales matter as fuck..."made in USA" means shit to the huge bulk of people in the USA and to 100% of people outside... recap: you are like a fat chick, banning skinny chicks, so that she can eat more pizza, and become even more fat AND you are tripping somebody will find you attractive AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA the american brainwash is the best entertainment around
