'Leave immediately': US Navy plane warned over South China Sea

In a nutshell, Communist China has decided to expand their claim of waters that possibly have oil and gas reserves not to mention most of the worlds shipping passes through that area.

The United States is somewhat okay with Russia and North Korea, (I personally do not trust N. Korea or Russia) here steps in Communist China to take there place.

There is no logical reason to fortify islands if you were not preparing for military action.

Quote:
China says it has landed long-range bombers for the first time on an island in the South China Sea, the latest in a series of maneuvers putting Beijing at odds with its neighbors and Washington over China's growing military presence around disputed islands.
Quote:
China has spent much of the past two years fortifying these islands, including placing missiles on the Spratly island chain during naval exercises in April.

This is despite a promise made by President Xi Jinping to then-US President Barack Obama in 2015 that the Chinese government would not be militarizing the artificial islands.

Whys this unexpected? Trump pulled out of TPP day one of his presidency and it was the only thing that would of kept China out of the South Pacific, pulling out was basically giving China the green light to expand there. Every country in that region now on Chinas payroll.

I think pulling out was the correct thing to do. The only thing the TTP did was raise our wages - It did not change the United States employment numbers.
Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders backs it too.

Quote:
Trade accounted for just 13% of America's lost factory jobs. 88% of the jobs were taken by robots.
Look at Apple's main supplier Foxconn - They replaced 60,000 factory workers with robots.
You can not blame lost jobs entirely on Trump when big companies are automating their production factories.
How does that fall on Trump's decision to pull out of the TPP ? - It doesn't.

Quote:
Losers:

Singapore: Singapore was one of the co-founders of the TPP's predecessor, and was a big backer of the deal in the region. The small island state relies on trade for its economy to grow. It's also home to one of the biggest ports in the region. It was hoping to benefit from an increase in services such as shipping and trade financing that it was expecting to follow from more regional and global trade.

Vietnam: According to this study by the Petersen Institute, Vietnam was expected to benefit the most from the TPP because it is still a relatively closed economy. This trade deal would have given it tariff free access for its rice, seafood, textiles and low-end manufactured goods. Some estimates say Vietnam could have seen a 10% boost to its economy by 2025 under the TPP.

Malaysia: According to that same Petersen study, Malaysia could see its economy grow by 5.5% in the same period because of the pact, which was set to give it access to the US for its palm oil exports, but at the same time under the rules of the agreement it had to agree to higher international labour standards.

Quote:
Winners:

The central premise of the US-backed TPP was: join our party, we'll all get rich together, and we'll all abide by international standards. Everybody wins.

Except now that's no longer true - instead, the biggest winner is now the country who was never included in the TPP to begin with...

China: As my colleague Carrie Gracie explains, China is well placed to step into the US's global footprint with both its regional trade deal alternative, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership deal, and it's massive and expensive One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative, which aims to build roads, ports and highways through much of Asia.

Other countries that have not joined the TPP (including Thailand, the Philippines and others who are close to China like Laos and Cambodia for instance, could also stand to gain from RCEP and OBOR.)

This is typically the role the US has played in the past few decades in Asia, through US financial bodies and global institutions.

Some analysts say China has been playing the "New Great Game" in Asia (a reference to the power rivalry we saw in the 19th century in Central Asia), grabbing any opportunity it can find to increase its influence in the region.

Mr Trump may have just handed Beijing the chance it has been looking for.

Yep

When Trump was running for office he blamed Obama for China's development in the South China Sea... Trump's been in office 18 months and done NOTHING about China's continued development in the South China Sea.

Trump is a paper dragon and the Chinese know it we are fucked.

So you will be ok if China, Russia and any other country that wants, decides to weaponize space as well? Hope you sleep well at night knowing Russia has 200 nukes floating above you that can be remotely released and hit the ground in under 2 minutes.

Its international territory, right of passage is given.. or what ever other cock and bull story America thinks up at the time ;)

Also.. I suppose China will be lending America the money to do this?

It's like world power take over for China. Obviously Trump has different ideas.
China is 3rd in our export destinations. We export more to Canada and Mexico.

The United States top export destinations are Canada ($207B), Mexico ($179B), China ($122B), Japan ($65.5B) and Germany ($60.2B).

The top import origins are China ($436B), Mexico ($289B), Canada ($268B), Japan ($129B) and Germany ($113B).

122 Billion vs China's 436 Billion.

So what are the nuts and bolts.

- Most American Jobs are lost due to Factory Automated robots.
The other loss is due to companies firing their employees and moving out of the US.
(Apple is famous for that)
Quote:
The tech giant outsources hundreds of thousands of manufacturing jobs to countries like Mongolia, China, Korea and Taiwan.

- China still is not part of the TPP.
Taiwan is Trumps pawn on anything and everything we have as The States and China battle it out.

Furthermore, China beefing up those islands will be dealt with accordingly.

The Chinese that will save the Paris Climate Agreement by exploiting the oil and gas there to produce more shit for even lower prices. They will plant some trees as compensation.

I think you forget that only 23% of Chinas trade is done with the USA

and incidentally all Trumps actions have done is forced countries like Canada and Mexico to trade MORE with China, countries are scrambling to arrange any trade that avoids America.

The long term damage this bozo has caused your country is unrecoverable. Like the Soya bean trade, lets say it all gets sorted out and tariffs come off, the market never recovers because China has sourced other suppliers, the most you will get back is 60% of the trade you previously had.

THIS is a complete wrong number !!!

the 436 billion from china are including all imports from korean, japanese and even US-companies what er producing there.

beside that those imports are completely wrong calculated:

example: letīs say an US company is importing from china together with a canadian company. letīs now say that the import for 1 billion and 600 million from it go directly from US to canada - than the 1 billion is calculated and not the 400 million what actually are for US.

you should not only search for numbers - you should also research what they mean and how they are calculated.

the number of imports to US from china are effectively less than 40 billion.
the rest is from korean and japanese companies or is going to canada and other
busing partners from US companies.

to understand a global market is out of that MUCH more complicated.
if yo have a business and rent an office for 1000 dollar - would you go to your renter and tell him that he have to buy for 1000 dollar per month in your company because you pay 1000 every month to him?

if THIS would be called "market" than your mind would be big enough to understand it - but IT IS NOT like that.

nobody in the world force you to buy anything from them.
these are american companies that NEED it and SURVIVE with it.
go and TRY to buy american.
if you would be able to that your prosperity would decrease 80% from one day to the other.

Okay what would be the alternatives under a different administration.

- No question, tax hikes.
- Russian jets would continue "buzzing" our US ships.
(Followed by the continuation of Putin's threats)
- No. Korea threatening our allies - launching cruise missiles on a daily basis.
(I am sure he would have launched a missile close to Hawaii)
- China would continue to sandbag their talks with No. Korea with respect to the United States.

They are only four definite facts out of a slew of potentially other political issues.
You guys look at the Democratic party as it's the second coming of Christ.
A brand new Garden of Eden.

You have two more years to complain until Trumps reelection in 2020.

We're being taken advantage of - China is not.
This should be nothing new. Trump emphasized China in his campaign promise.
Why are the left wingers surprised now ? - Perhaps because Trump made good on his campaign promise ?

Trump could put some tarifs on Chinese goods to put some pressure so they stop building islands!

In the end we all know China will take and build islands and get the oil.
How else must they keep growing 6% a year. They need cheap oil.
The solar panels are nice to sell to Europe for the Paris Climate Agreement and make money. But China needs oil (free money) to keep the prices low and that Solar is just for the show, less than 2% of electricity comes from solar.

What is the EU doing, and Nato, Navo, Latin America, Amnesty, and Jackie Chan? Maybe the USA should just step away.
Let other countries react if they feel to. Whatever Trump would have done or will do, countries will start crying of his decission cause it might be bad for their economy or stock market. China already threatened with Nuclear reactions, so they realy want the region. If Trump does like Obama did, a few fly overs with a bomber, everybody would scream he is starting WW3.
