There are a lot of regular misconceptions in the article.

Such as for example that eating pork or drinking alcohol is forbidden for Muslims. Yes it is technically not halal, but there's an Islamic principle of "darura" that mandates that "necessity is more important than obligation". And each Islamic deed may be postponed or not obeyed if necessary.

So if it's necessary to eat, pork can be eaten, if it's required to postpone prayer, it can be postponed etc. Mohammad himself postponed prayer and so on, therefore the principle of "darura" is entirely in line with the Islamic doctrine, as long as there's a justification for it.

This is important to know, understand, and use every time a follower of Islam demands special treatment, aka praying rooms, not touching alcohol, halal food, burkas etc. - if he imposes such special demands on a non-Islamic society, it's not out of obligation.

These are the mandated demands on the host civilization, and a manifestation of political Islam (superiority of Islam towards the host culture). In any sort of non-Islamic society, these demands should be categorically rejected.

Whenever there is the combination of knowledge of the Islamic doctrine, obedience to the Islamic doctrine, and belief in the Islamic doctrine - Jihad (violent or non-violent) ensues, since it's the principal concept in Islam that made it successful in the first place. According to the doctrine of Islam, becoming a Jihadi, or financing Jihad, in order to spread and strengthen Islam, are the highest perks in Islam.

Firstly Islam is not a religion. Second, it is not based solely on the Qur'an either as the Qur'an is just a part of the doctrine of Islam (cca 14 pct), the rest is the Sunna of Mohammad.

And I guess you just proved the point, the more devotion to the doctrine of Islam, the more trouble for any non Islamic civilization.

Dear Carlos, like Christianity, and possibly other religions, Muslims learn about Islam at the feet of their parents, at school, from an Imam, from Islamic studies classes (kinda like Catechism, I guess). All these people learned about it from other teachers and scholars and theologians.

You can subtract one from the other all you like, but I'm really not getting what your point is.
