This is very, very simple... When faced with going to jail Cohen decided Mr. trump wasn't worth it.
We still have no idea what Cohen gave up, and what he continues to give up. I am guessing Mueller had a lot of other questions about Mr. trump's finances. Imagine going over every deal him and Mr. trump made over the past ten years....
