Yep - Poland for instance, one of the largest economies in the EU , and I don't think I know anyone that has an actual credit card, just debit cards. Even I don't have a credit card. Online purchases are done either COD on via instant bank transfers. Hugely cash-based society.

Additionally if you have a business, monies should be injected into your own business until you really can't think of anything else to spend your money on. And by that point, you likely have enough business knowledge and leverage to start an auxiliary business to be generating even more revenue that stocks could never touch.

I even read a quote from Warren Buffet the other day regarding this. He essentially said, the best investment is going to be your business first, stocks second. He would prefer to buy solid companies any day of the week over any stocks.

I have some cash in lifestyle funds through IRAs for the tax benefit only, and even that weekly injection I'm considering dropping. Decent return and moderately safe, plus tax benefit... nice perks, but not being able to touch the cash for 30 years? It's a loan to Wall Street and not much more.

One thing I've noticed, most of the quick money is not made re 'exciting news' about the company or even if the company is profitable or not... What to look for? Momentum and VOLUME

I think this is more like gambling than investing, don't you? I've been buying and selling stocks for over 20 years and when I first got interested I looked at those kind of companies. It's easy to think if they just go from $1 to 2$ i'll double my money. It's the same thing with OTC stocks. They're all just pump and dump. You'll never be able to get out fast enough because someone will just steal your money.

It's a suckers bet. Do paper trades for a month and see how deep in the red you are.
