Never understood the fascination with their noise. Grunge was never my cup of tea.

I liked Grunge, and loved Radio Shack. I used to go there after school on Thursday and Friday nights as a kid to play with the computers there.

They even made radio shack look cool!
I used to spend hours at RadioShack every week going through their different types of motors, types of solder, capacitors, gears, small solar diy kits, etc. for my different robotics projects. I used to love that place! The most expensive robot kit I've ever purchased so far was from RadioShack. It was the Heathits Hero-1 robot with the arm attachment. I built the kit from scratch soldering all the components on each circuit board one by one. HUNDREDS of hours I spent programming that robot it was so cool (for back then) but heavy as hell it was about 2 feet tall and weighed about 45 pounds. It had motion sensors, light sensors, sound sensors you can program it to talk pick things up, watch for movement at night and sound an alarm if it senses movement. |

So Dave Goul was playing the bass for them when they first started and not the drums like he did when they hit it..

I worked at Radio Shack in 1989 and 90. They had some cool stuff, but it was a shitty place to work.

A little less than 10 years later this was Weezer's early gig..
granted they'd already hit by time this aired but still amazing how good they were at such a young age.
