I feel like it was a great historical mistake for webmasters to forward all agency to walled gardens such as various social networks, and abandon toplists and direct traffic trading. But it's done now, that's history. But how do you get visitors today? Really just simping over Twitter and Reddit?

Most successful people in this business will gatekeep their methods, it will be very difficult to get any reasonable answer beyond 3 second quips like "You need more traffic" and "You might have to ADAPT or die" (adapt to what you might ask? I dunno, I just say the phrase).

Pick one traffic source and learn it inside and out until you make it work. Then consider other sources. Being an expert in one field is better than being average in a bunch... Good luck.

the thing about traffic is it's not just sources but granularity, testing, and yes losing money along the way

I know some like Fuze kill with it, but in adult or mainstream there is work and time and (esp in the case of media buying with all the trial and error initially) money involved

but outside traffic stuff you could do something crazy like create stuff peeps want to buy, or find free avenues to be an aff for what people want to buy. or build something fair and legit for the 'whores' who somehow manage to stay off the breadlines

or just go make a cb account and stream yourself stroking your dick for 5 bucks an hour. you have that kind of winner attitude
