The US may deny Turkey F-35 sales — and now it may turn to Russia in a nightmare for NATO

The US may deny Turkey F-35 sales — and now it may turn to Russia in a nightmare for NATO

The US Senate passed a defense spending bill recently that sought to prevent Turkey from getting the 100 F-35 stealth jets it ordered — and now Turkey could become the first buyer of Russia's Su-57 "stealth" jet killer if the bill becomes law.

But on the military side, Turkey, a NATO ally, poses another threat by buying Russia's S-400 missile defense system.

Retired US Air Force Lt. Gen. David Deptula told Business Insider that NATO countries "don't want to be networking in Russian systems into your air defenses" as it could lead to "technology transfer and possible compromises of F-35 advantages to the S-400."

Turkey is no friend to the US or Nato nor Russia.. They should be removed from Nato. It's no longer a Democracy but a dictatorship.

Nato trying to appease Turkey by trying to stay friendly is a mistake because Turkey is no longer a member who can be trusted.

Also Turkey shot down Russian aircraft 2 or was it 3 times and Russia cowered away. Why is it you now try to use Turkey for your propaganda? Is it because they kicked your ass so now you are kissing theirs?

U.S., Egypt: Washington Threatens Sanctions Over Russian Arms Deal

During a Senate budget hearing on April 9, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that the United States would penalize Egypt under the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA) should Egypt buy Russian Su-35 fighter jets. A bipartisan group of U.S. senators sent a letter to Pompeo before the hearing, urging him to pressure Egypt to avoid the arms deal while Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi was in Washington. Pompeo responded to the senators' concerns by saying he believed Egypt understood the warning, and he said he was hopeful it would not go through with any such deal.

22 Turkish Air Force pilots killed

According to Turkish Ulke TV station, the victims of the February 17 terrorist attack in Ankara include 22 Turkish Air Force pilots, out of 28 total fatalities.

The Turkish government has not issued an official confirmation but, according to Turkish media, Erdogan is deliberately trying to conceal that fact.

The explosion took place next to the Turkish Armed Forces headquarters building, as well as the parliament and government buildings. The fatalities included 26 military and 2 civilians. Another 60 people were wounded.

Turkey does not have enough personnel for Nato planes. Russian war machine start works, why we not must sell weapon?

Stealth Allies? Why Russia Could Sell Its Su-57 Fighter To China

Would Moscow really do it?

Having formally cleared the Su-57 for export earlier this month, Russia is poised to pitch their fifth-generation fighter to China.

Speaking at the LIMA-2019 Aerospace and Maritime exhibition, Rostec official Viktor Kladov looked to the future of the Sino-Russian arms trade: "China has recently taken delivery of 24 Su-35 aircraft, and in the next two years [China] will make a decision to either procure additional Su-35s, build the Su-35 within China, or to buy a fifth-generation fighter aircraft. This could be another opportunity for the Su-57E."

It is not yet clear how, or if, the “Su-57E” export variant differs from the base Su-57 design; those answers could be forthcoming at this year’s Dubai Airshow, hinted Kladov

Turkey should be kicked out of NATO and replaced with Russia.

The Cold War is over, and Russia has very close economic relations with Western and Central Europe, especially Germany.

The military-industrial complex won't like it, but it will be a huge step towards world peace.

I agree with that concept, but first you would need to kick out ALL the warmongering countries like The Baltics and any country ending with .....ia. Really, it would be better just to dissolve it and just have Russia cut the deal with the EU. And when Ukraine elects the actor as its president, give him an offer he cannot refuse...."Crimea was and always will be Russian" ( unless the Turks take it back ) ,so fuck off.
