For a while now Baddog has gently reminding me that I am over weight and that I "might not live much longer". Well, fuck that noise.

At my highest weight I was 275 lbs. I was huge. This was about five or six years ago.

About three months go I went on a health kick. I was 230 lbs. Since then I've been going to the gym as often as I can, two or three times a day, plus cycling when I could, and also watching my diet....

As of this morning I am down to 203.

Thanks Baddog for reminding me I neeed to change my lifestyle.

Congratulations! I was up to your highest weight when I got sick. One hundred pound later I still need to lose some weight but I don’t obsess over it. Some days I’m good and some days I’m not good. It isn’t easy at no one should make fun of you for your weight. Overweening isn’t always just eating too much.

I tend to be really thin due to my insides hating me (chronic fucking issues with that ish, will I be able to eat today without it going horribly wrong up until recently, hopefully for the last time) and loving workouts as the best high ever and hating eating food (everything about it is a chore to me and a satiated stomach is not a comfy feeling) but damn, you are the second person here who recently has posted about weight loss and lost more than half my total body weight...

in your case way more than half of me in the past few years, more like 2/3 of me. your current weight loss, about a third of me. that is on both counts, to quote Chappelle; fucking incredible

can't even imagine what it must feel like to have dropped that much weight, that's like seven 10 lb bags of potatoes that you don't carry around anymore. 3 fewer bags in the past 3 months. dang

you must have so much more energy

hope some of it is spent encouraging your kid(s) to eat in a manner conducive to health and join you in enjoying movement. esp the girl(s). granted I grew up adoring heroin chic so there is no such thing as too skinny but for females of any age seeing someone get rightful props for dropping excess pounds can be a bit of a mind fuck, esp for paleface women where there is...no such thing as too thin

one of your kids is vegan right? make sure you include her in what you're doing, being real a lot of women who end up being vegans for conscious purposes start it as an excuse not to eat and come back to the lifestyle/value system after their eating disorder is solved. you gotta be careful with girls in this, in talking with them talk about how you had weight to lose, not that having ribs you can cut paper on is the the goal

personally I think those who shame/make fun of people who are overweight are total assholes but if that helped you...thank yourself. you did this, not the dude who talked shit to you. it's always odd to me when men are assumed to never be body conscious or insecure about looks

as to going at the gym at 6 am, I'm assuming you hadn't gone to bed yet

but either way you're guaranteed to feel so much better for the rest of the day than those who are afraid to move. exercise is better than any drug stimulant in the world for having bright, coherent energy to get through the day

I do have so much more energy. It's amazing really. And zero shortness of breath. It's fun.

The best part is I fit into clothes I haven't fit into for a long time.

I'm 6'4" and like 3 or 4 mos ago I was at my highest weight at 285. I started eating a lot less and while I still drink 5 or 6 days I now drink vodka with 5 calorie diet cranberry juice. I don't drink soda anymore just water.

I'm down to 255 now and I don't think I'll lose much more cause of the 1,800 calories a day I drink with vodka haha. I feel much better today at 255

11 years ago I was in the hospital for 25 days and I lost 60 lbs cause I was so sick I could hold food down. At 200lbs I hated the way I looked cause I could see all my ribs. I felt the best at 240.

I weigh the same weight I did my first year of college at age 19. Not a single fatty on either side of my parents' families and they've both got 5 siblings. Solid genetics.

Usually I only weigh myself every other day or every third day. However, my goal is 200 by Thanksgiving so... I am weighing a little bit more.

I lose about a pound every other day. However, I am very strict about my diet (other than the three slices I had for dinner Sunday night but that was a charity meeting) and I usually hit the gym two or three times a day.
