is my phone # gone?????
So I ported my number from my original carrier to a new one.. but I cancelled my account with the new carrier I was porting out to right after I requested the porting process through their website because it said there was an error while doing it so I figured it didn't work..
But then my original carrier told me that it did work and the number was successfully ported out... Is my number still available at the other carrier if I open a new account there? saved in their system or something? Or is it gone since I deleted my account ? |

From what I understand, carriers generally hold cancelled numbers for several weeks or months before releasing them for availability.

Ask your new carrier and they will fix it for you.

There is a grace-period. How long depends on the regulation in the country you live in

You'll need the pin number from your old carrier to give to your new carrier. That's what I needed at least.
I'm sure OP has gotten it sorted by now. |
