Not a good idea in my opinion either. Too much room for abuse. People can edit their 5 year old posts and put false information there. Would be hard to verify at that point.
If it's really important to change something later, people can always just PM an admin to do it.

How about an international section with country threads? I recall a forum that used to have it and was helpful for webmasters that don’t speak english that well etc

No subforums in different languages. Hard to keep track of for yourself as forum owner and people in this industry will communicate in English anyway. If people do not speak english when they start, they definitely learn and catch up.

I get what you all say, though I would like to hear the perspective of non english speakers, especially the ones coming from countries with no awm communities. I know a lot of webmasters that dont speak english or are very shy about it and gfy isnt an easy place as we all know.... I think it would be useful for them and also for country specific offers. I didnt had many subforums in mind for this, just one with country threads. In order to work needs content of course and traffic of course, the same like the educational series. Just an idea.

You pay because its an equitable exchange of value.

The vast majority of people in this biz have zero clue whatsoever what actual marketing looks like. It's insane that someone from Bangladesh, Pakistan or India on a few of the other big mainstream forums can put together a compelling announcement and presentation, with incredibly well designed graphics and very well thought out pitch, making you exclaim "holy shit, i need to try that tool, that looks fucking awesome!!" and do so while English is their 3rd or 4th language and yet people here can't even master the paragraph or period... much less explain a coherent idea, feature, function or benefit.

People in this biz stood around selling water in the desert and patted each other on the back for years as being "marketing geniuses" and as more people sold water, they started blaming the water for their failure.

And now, here we are once again... for what??

The 20th time?

30th time??

"The ban hammer is out, just try me fuckers!" coupled with "hey we're looking for ideas".

How many times since 2001 has this forum been at that EXACT place?

Each time, all that happened was that it died a little each time. In fact, there is no example of this forum showing increased activity by banning users, by cracking down and by putting out the suggestion box.

How many times has every dying forum done the EXACT same thing before they died?

And because this industry is what it is, no one has asked the only question which MUST be answered,

"If i am a webmaster, why should i choose GFY and not another forum"...

It will never be answered.

It should be answered from the start... It should be a clear, concise and compelling answer,... but again, it's come down to a half assed attempt at doing "things"... right before the next cycle of neglect and slow decline begin.

If you ask 100 webmasters "what is gfy?" you will likely just get answers like "i go there for the nostalgia", " i go there out of habit", "its 1/2 business and 1/2 shit show" but one thing is for certain, there will no be a consistent answer which expresses with any real clarity, its value to the target market. "The best adult marketing forum online" will never be the answer. In fact, no one even knows what the answer should be.

Asking for suggestions is the most pointless action for any business. It simply exposes a truth... "there is no leadership here and this is not a real business"

Businesses which thrive and endure, do not do "things"

They are not reactive
They don't have a suggestion box
They don't work by consensus
They are not unclear in their focus and offering

Gates, Bezos, Jobs etc etc etc never asked what someone wanted. They built what was needed. They build what WILL BE needed. They had vision. They built. They built with passion. With purpose. They executed. They built what we needed before we knew we needed it. They are never reactive, they are forward thinking. Each thing they create is one small part of a much larger experience and even identity/social status.

This forum will never change because as this thread demonstrates, it will never be treated like a real business, with a real plan, a real vision, with real leadership to bring that vision to fruition etc etc.

It will ultimately, as has always been the case, go back to being an afterthought after the usual week or two of chest pounding, saber rattling and feel good "suggestion" threads.

I agree that there is currently not enough involvement to warrant a "VIP section." As much activity as possible, within limits, needs to be confined to the main forum to leverage more interaction.

I think subsections only works at all when you can marry;

High value (as defined by users) and intense or passionate interest in the topic

What ends up happening is the usual "content forum - discuss content here" or "domain sales" which just ends up being a waste of time as there is no actual passionate interest and value to drive it's success... and simply serves to further divide a small group for no benefit.

Personally, i think it's quite telling that one can actually go to STM right now (mainstream marketing forum) and learn more about adult marketing, traffic brokers, landing pages, ad creation, campaign tracking, campaign setup, tracking software tutorials and find more followalongs and success stories etc etc etc than they can in this forum.

Even funnier is that this industry is so full of degenerates that when you have a place like adultmediabuys.com as a private paid forum, it ultimately devolves into nothing but discussion about what to steal, how to steal and where to steal... and how to download that which was already stolen.

How about a GFY Mastermind Section, this Section will be a pay per course section, this section will have video courses made by Top Industry Earners showing step by step how they generate income (exact steps from start to finish) online in whatever Adult Sector they are in. This section can provide the very much needed training to the industry which will stimulate growth within the Adult Industry within the long run.
These courses can be high ticket prices for high value knowledge.

If someone in the Adult Industry that is making 6 figures online was to make a step by step video course so you can literally replicate what they are doing, are you telling me you wouldn't want to learn there secrets.

These courses can even be run through affiliate programs so when you refer other webmasters you can earn commissions on each signup. These courses could start as low as $50 and go up to $1000 + depending on the value of the information.

This is, unfortunately, a moot point. What you are talking about really does not, and can not ever exist. The idea of doing A then B followed by C etc as a step by step recipe for success just doesn't happen in real life - Otherwise everyone would be doing it and the richest people in the world would be the ones selling the system.

Those at the top got there over a long period of time, doing things that are not applicable now, due to tech advancements and build up personal long term relationships with other similar people over the long term. Besides the fact that any 'system' would take the follower a period of many years to replicate, trying to do something that was done first, say three years in your past, again in the same way 3 years into the future (When you reach that part of the 'plan' yourself) isn't going to work in the same way it did what would now be 6 or 7 years ago...

Sorry, I'm not being a downer, but just a realist. For example, I've posted on here before my life's story, where I started in adult at 8 years old and retired in my early 40s in 2013 but would anyone be able to copy what I did? No, impossible...
