You're probably correct about yourself - the hypoxia part of it is supposed to last around 10 weeks, so that fits. Now they're saying it doesn't even come with a fever in most cases - so the ONLY symptom is a shortness of breath that you don't really feel.

The real test: walk what you know you can walk (4 miles, 6 miles, whatever) on a route you know. If you walk it 4 days in a row and are much more tired than you used to be, you have it.

And there is nothing you can do. Keep walking, stay healthy, don't drink too much because drinking also induces hypoxia. Don't go swimming.

That friggin’ test isn’t fun. I thought the swab would be a cotton swab. Nuh uh. A hard plastic stick goes up deep (as a nurse told me it reaches your brain!) and swishes around each nostril. It doesn’t hurt but is uncomfortable. Your eyes water quickly.

Results in one-to-three days and I had the test yesterday. No phone call today so maybe tomorrow. If not then Monday for sure.

I'll let you know if my parents have the antibody for it, if the test is ever available. They both caught a bad flu, tested not as a flu, February 8th and lasted 3 weeks including a hospital visit because of the dry cough. That is where the negative flu result came from.

That was a colossal fuck up of unimaginable stupidity. If you listened to the epidemiologist in that interview he specifically mentioned that was a problem with Sweden in that their nursing homes were much larger than Norway's. So if one patient got sick the infection rate was much higher.

He also said you quarantine the at risk population and the rest just be smart about your day. It's exactly what I said, March 23rd to a good friend from college. He also watches CNN a lot, lives in Mexico, and told me there was 0% chance Trump would win 2016.

Doing alright. This shut down hasn't affected me all that much since most money is old recurring billing. My daily routine though is to take a trip for coffee... every single store is shut down except gas stations and grocery stores. Take out only with restaurants that offer it.

my parents got sick late January, well before government said. They described sickness as the flu, with a lingering cough. My dad went to the hospital because cough wouldn't go away. He was tested for flu, negative. This thing has been floating around disguised as the flu for months. The government has completely taken control of the United States over the damn flu. If the elderly we are trying to protect, quarantine the elderly. Let the rest of us carry on. Only reason we are seeing growing numbers of new cases is because we are testing more. Damn thing was likely out the door soon.
