IRJ.Net how much do you guys think this domain is worth?

I have the domain IRJ.NET I've been debating what to do with it. Develop it or sell it. So was curious how much you guys think this domain could be worth.

With all due respect....why would that domain be worth anything? What is special about it?

well I guess it's worth whatever somebody is willing to pay. Honestly though, its not hard to come up with "brandable" and short domains for a mere $10 dollars.

If it was a .com sure worth some $$$ but just the .net you won’t get much for it

The question isn't whether to sell or develop (never, ever, ever waste time developing a .net; you are simply handing traffic to the .com), but whether to sell or hold on to it indefinitely because you think it's worth more than it is.

Three letter .NETs like this can be had for mid $xxx, and if you're happy to accept that, it should be relatively quick and easy to dispose of. If not, just throw up a for sale page with a BIN of around $1k and wait.

BTW, in general if you have an idea you want to develop, get a (.COM) domain name that fits it, don't look at a domain and try and fit an idea around it.

For example, your site could be the Index of Remote Jobs Network (very topical in these socially distant times), which may be a good way to sell the name to someone, but would be a pain to try and develop unless indexing remote jobs is something you want to spend your life doing.

This is a very good answer to your question....

It have value, but problem with such domains how they are good mostly to people to which have some meaning. But anyway, here you can get some further ideas: https://www.brandbucket.com/styles/3...r-domain-names

For now I decided to turn it into an online food journal. Im a chef for my day job well was before corona started. Haven't been working since in Canada. Since I have a lot of free time, been doing a lot of cooking at home I figured it would be an easy topic to update a food blog.

Rather than writting recipes, it will be more procedures and things I find interesting in the food world.

I figured this could be a good way to build traffic to the domain also...

IRL.net forwards to https://www.unlimitedirl.com/ so perhaps yours with the 'J' instead of the 'L' might be of interest to them as a typo, as 'J' is two keys away from 'L' on the keyboard?

Wouldn't hurt to ask?

They even have live chat on the page, so you could ask straight away lol

If you want to go with the idea, consider contacting remote job related companies not just in the US or Europe (who may prefer .com or a ccTLD), but English speaking countries in Asia or Africa, where they may not mind .net so much.

Either that or create a way to aggregate remote jobs from other sites, or just do it manually on a Wordpress blog (maybe call it "curated"), add $1-2k to the price and try to sell it as a starter site on Flippa and/or similar marketplace.

.net Not much. But you might be able to find a company with those initials that would want it for a few hundred.

Since the dot com is for sale, I'm guessing a few hundred bucks at best.

Probably your best bet.
Company, club, association, someone with those initials, etc. If I was Ian Ronny Jones I would buy it from you

Wasn't that long ago that 3 letter .nets were plentyful (own a few). 4 letter .nets are still available (own quite a few), many of which make good acronyms or even pronouncable. 5 letter .com are in good supply and I have quite a few pronouncables and have recieved very attractive offers for them.

IRJ has some good letters in it, but most companies would just buy IRJ.com which appears to be for sale anyway and avoid any issues.

Good to see you have developed it.. I understand you are a chef but not particularly memorable as a food blog.. maybe an investment blog? Investment and Real Estate Journal? etc. Even if you are not particularly skilled in that area.. it could be a learn as you go project.

Good luck
