So I'm looking through old stats in different programs that I don't actively promote. I notice aff randomly takes my sales and referral payouts as "Maintenance" fees. I counted about $400.

Rant over. Hope everyone is well. Back to drinking

Damn, never knew they did that. I made around 20K with them back in the day. They always paid me on time. The coolest thing that happened to me with them. Seven years after I quit promoting them, I got cam sales almost 4k and got paid almost a grand from them. That made me put AFF way up on my list, and the only dating I will promote.

That doesn't seem right. I've always been treated fairly by them. Maybe I better check in and see what's up.

If you have not earned or accrued referral fees in at least the amount of the Commission Payment Floor in the six (6) months prior to any given monthly payment period, or if your Account is suspended as provided herein, we reserve the right, in our sole discretion without notice to you, and without waiver by us, to charge you an Account maintenance fee in an amount up to $500 per six (6) month period. The account maintenance fee charged may be deducted and offset against any unpaid Commissions.

Wow, $500 per 6 month period!?

Medley, everyone knows that this figure does not reflect the true costs to 'maintain' a dormant affiliates account! Likely a couple of dollars max. Therefore, this fee is a Penalty!

Thankful to the OP for highlighting this scam, saved me both time and money.

aff Changed thier name to medly, they always used thier tactic since they been in business since 2000 and expêrienced all type of fraud and tricks so no wonder they would applied on thier user, check aff reviews all fraud and fake and when it comes to billing they debited cards without mercy ;) back 2008 i made 60k with them with 2 year

If Medley took on the mountains of debt from the bankrupt FriendFinder Networks, it would explain why they are raiding the affiliate piggy bank.

What Medley is doing is just as shady as Flirt4Free with their Inactive Referred Customers and Dormant Affiliate Rate Adjustment terms.

Those of us who are active affiliates are quite happy. They always pay and have ever since 2004 for me. Ive made millions off this program and continue to do so. I think if you havent sent traffic for years they are going to tax that account rather than let it sit there. I doubt anyone gets a $500 fee all at once. I'd be interested to hear what the individual maintenance fees have been for the thread poster to reach $400?? Over what period of time, and how many? and if you have that large of a balance in there why not just have it cashed out?

If theres a nice balance there, hit them up and have them pay it out. Even if its under the minimum. Im sure they can work with you.

Yes that actually make sense because card usually have expiration date after 3-5 years.

No given rebill is that old, no. But if a revshare link published in 2004 gets one sale every two years, at any given time the residual trickle of money coming in is mostly rebills. You've been at this longer than me, so you already know this.

So? It's the deal they made! My only point in this thread is that ceasing to pay moneys owed is sleazy. Changing the terms unilaterally may be legal, but it's not honest business.

You'd think after hanging around GFY since 2002 that I'd have gotten used to people sucking up to programs that are loose about paying affiliates every dime owed. But some of the biggest names in this business do it. I don't know if they fully understand the reputational cost. Maybe demonstrating loyalty to the established players is worth more in the short run, but in the long run? It's not a great way to display trustworthiness, and as J.P. Morgan famously said, "A man I do not trust could not get money from me on all the bonds in Christendom."

The sad thing is, there's always been a subculture of apology for sleazy business (complete with gaslighting and blowing bullshit by the people who do this) here at GFY.
