Any solar panel experts? Need some recommendations..
Hey guys, I'm about to buy a solar panel for my fishing deck.. It will charge a 12v car battery that can run the led lights a 4g sim card ip camera and probably a small fridge.. I'm not looking for anything fancy, something cheap, I can bring with me that will keep charging the battery while I'm out fishing..
The car battery I have out there is from my Audi A6, which is a 12v 105Ah battery.. I'm currently looking at those cheap panels from aliexpress and ebay, and I was wondering if they are any good.. Did any of you buy those $30 panels.. Do you have any experience with them? I don't want to spend tons of cash on it, as the deck is about 30 mins of drive from my home, and it will most likely get stolen if I can't solve a holder so I can easily mount it and remove it anytime I'm out fishing.. The current idea is to make a mount for it so I can adjust it's positing according to where the sun is during the day... Also, as my 4g camera uses it's own battery, the led lights use almost zero power, it will be used to keep the battery charged while the fridge is in function.. Thanks in advance, Have a wonderful day yall, z ps. Any fishermans around? ;) |

I have a 23,5kwh installation on my house. A $30 panel is not going to cut it if you want to run a small fridge. I have the big hyundai full black ones, those are 390w each iirc. A doubt your fridge is less then 390w when the compressor starts.

I think he meant mini fridge and the 1st one I looked up is 219 watts. I doubt a $30 panel will be able to power that though

Well, I guess I have to go with a GoSun Chillest then :D haha
For now the idea was pretty simple.. Add 1 car battery which transforms the 12v to 220v and keep the battery charged with a solar panel... The other idea is to get a propane-powered fridge however, those are pretty big and takes tons of space in my car.. even if I use my van.. Leaving it on the deck, even if I have a small wooden house on it is a bad idea, as it will get stolen pretty fast.. |

I googled that and those things are like $750. If you have that much money to spend why not get this for under $500 and the $300 Solar panel listed on this page
https://www.amazon.com/Jackery-Porta...1CE2M15HQYEKTN If the page doesn't load it reload once or twice and it works.. odd I thought about getting this for my office cause we lose power a lot but it wouldn't help cause my computer is at the other end of the house from the cable router

I am buying stuff this week so far have 250w 12v panel 20 amp controller, 100ah lithium battery, 3000w inverter but just bought a 10,000w inverter as 3000w is crap and doesn't really have a 300w continuous load. Going to buy a few more panels and batteries. Also need duel battery isolator if using in vehicles so can use alternator to charge it also with out effecting battery driving with. I am trying to see what i can do by generating enough power to run water pumps for fish.

The panel i bought is a glass panel in a aluminum frame it was 100 with controller on ebay. The 3k invertor was under 50 and the 10k was about 200 the battery was under 300 but i see them cheaper 230 around. I want to run 4 x 500w heaters and 200w pump and still have enough to run another 750w pump. This is for a pond to make it tropical in winter.

Thanks, everyone! Sadly anytime I try to access these Jackery items, amazon says it's unavailable. Also, I prefer buying stuff from the EU, as they won't charge extra for the import charges.
Lock: would you mind posting some urls of the products you bought so far? Thanks guys, Cheers, z |
