they removed a card from payment and I did not renew a domain in time.

they don't take ownership of their errors, I used to recommend them now they can go fuck themselves

Namecheap gives you up to 30 days after the domain has expired (their grace period) without any extra fees, or at least it was like that last time I forgot to renew in time.

Alternatively, Cloudflare has great pricing on domains.

Correct. Most places do, at least for the main TLDs, other TLDs may vary.

However, I have a bunch of .cam names at namecheap and have never had an issue.

In addition namecheap has their freedns which you can use even if the domain is regged somewhere else.

I'll be honest, if they were 3 or 4 bucks cheaper per domain I still wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. Their customer service has gotten worse and worse. Their agents command of the English language is very limited. So any support request takes 5 or 6 emails back and forth.

In addition, when you login they send you a 2FA code. It usually never comes or comes an hour later. I tried to take off 2FA, but couldn't.

Oh and this is the worst part, when you try to send a support request about having issues logging in they ask you to login! I just gave up. Not worth the effort anymore.

They have issues (not being cheap being one), but the complaint about support (and 2FA) is nonsense. They have live chat that responds immediately and they speak fine English.
