Of the 2,668 billionaires in the world, how many were raised by single moms?

Oprah, Kayne West and Jay-Z are the only ones who come to mind.

How many billionaires can you name that won't require Google?

How about Elon Musk?

How many billionaires can I name without Google or looking at Forbes list? 100 or more I'm guessing.

Elon's father owned an emerald mine in South Africa. His mother was a model.

So yeah, Elon's parents divorced when he was 8. Although, his father was well off and probably taken care of financially.

Interesting how a lot of people ignore the main problem in some of these communities with high poverty rates and crime, which is lack of fathers.

We know for a fact kids from single family homes are more likely to not go to college, more likely to go to prison, more likely to have substance abuse problems, make less money etc etc. Basically all the problems of one particular community but nobody wants to tackle the main issue.

Sounds like he hates his dad, so not sure why you think that.

Elon says he dad was psychologically abusive.

At age eight, when his parents divorced, Elon chose to live with his father, while his two brothers stayed with his mum –– a choice he later said was "not a good idea".

His dad, Errol, was an engineer, and supposedly the youngest person to get a professional engineer's qualification in South Africa. He worked in emerald mining and, at one point, they had so much money that he couldn't close their safe. But money can't buy happiness.

I care almost not at all, but I believe the Musk finances were up and down, as are those of most entrepreneurs.

By definition, people who amass unicorn amounts of wealth do not tend to be predictable. I mean, except for those who inherit it.

If you want someone to bear your children and stay home with them, I recommend you try being nice and respectful to chicks who share your values, and then marrying one.

Trying to justify your personal preference on whether your kids could be billionaires just reads like you are insecure about what you want.

Amelia, I'm sorry if I confused you. I wasn't referring to my possible future children. I was referring to myself.

Since I was raised by a single mother and if I achieve my dream of becoming a billionaire - that should undeniably make me one of the greatest human beings to walk this earth, would it not?

I was just trying to motivate myself during this rough time. I'm about to launch a new business I've been working on for 3 years and just need a final push of inspiring myself to get through it.

Thanks for your reply.

Zip2 was Elon Musk's first company and it sold for $307 million in 1999 at 28 years old. For most people, that would be the high point of a lifetime, but Elon risked it all and hit his number again and again.

Even more exclusive..How many billionaires can dunk a basketball on a 10 foot goal? I think Michael Jordan may be the only in the world. He was my childhood hero.

Or how many billionaires can run a sub-4-hour marathon?

Wouldn't that be something...

If you have children you pour everything you have into them. Your knowledge, your wealth, your everything. If not, you’re societal trash. Full stop.

Well, long time ago, i said how luck is also one of important factors for success, not just skill , finances and usual stuff which we associate with it. There are tons of example where many companies would fail if they didn't got financial aid in last moment and since then they are working fine. Local electric vehicle manufacturer , Rimac Buggati, also was on verge of bankruptcy till it found Chinese investor in last moment, and later Porsche also invested.

I agree somewhat, but it's not like his kids ever missed any meals or have been homeless.

I haven't seen my dad since I was 4 year old. He never paid child support and owes the third-highest amount in the state I grew up in. This is why I am who I am.

According to my mother, my father was brilliant. I was born at Eglin AFB in Florida while he was stationed there. From Eglin, he went to the Pentagon in Washington DC during mid-1980s, where he reached the rank of Captain as a Systems Analyst, working on missile guidance systems.

My favorite movie as a kid was Top Gun and I wanted to serve in the military as a fighter pilot. My parents divorced when I was 4 in 1986-87. My mother says the reason for their divorce was because of my father's irresponsible spending and wanting to baptize my younger brother as Mormon, as she was Catholic.

There was a custody battle for us three kids (I am the middle child) and naturally my mother won custody.

From there we left to Louisiana where my mother's parents were. My mother never re-married and only dated a couple other men. My father is the only man my mother has been with sexually, even to this day as she is 68 years old now. My mother has extremely high morals and is obsessively honest. It is said that men look for a woman like their mothers and this is probably why I have such high standards for a wife.

The story goes much deeper, but I won't get into that now.

I lived in Southeast Louisiana for the next 30 years. My biggest regret is not leaving sooner, but I've shaken off the bad habits I've picked up from there and I'm making up for lost time by living a clean, healthy lifestyle now.

Whenever people complained about about their fathers, I always laughed it off or dismissed it because I felt at least he was in their lives and gave them at least some financial support.

Having that experience growing up is why I am so careful about who I date and study the laws and statistics of marriage, divorce and child support. If I would have gotten a woman pregnant, all my dreams would be over because my biggest fear in life is being a bad father.

Anyway.. I think Elon is the greatest entrepreneur and humanitarian alive today, even possibly in human history.

Reminds me of this story:

How Fred Smith rescued FedEx from bankruptcy by playing blackjack in Las Vegas

Fred Smith took FedEx's last $5,000 and won $27,000 playing blackjack in the company's early years

FedEx began operations in April 1973 and quickly grew. However, rising fuel costs eventually caught up with the young company, putting FedEx millions of dollars in debt, Entrepreneur reported.

Investors declined to give FedEx more money and Entrepreneur reported that "bankruptcy was a distinct possibility."

When the company had only $5,000 left, Smith pitched General Dynamics for more funding, but the board refused.

On his way home, Smith took a detour to Las Vegas and won $27,000 playing blackjack, which he wired back to FedEx, Forbes reported.

"The $27,000 wasn't decisive, but it was an omen that things would get better," Smith said about the gamble, according to Entrepreneur.

Risking your company's future on the flip of a deck cards it pretty ballsy.

But yeah, for sure there's a lot of luck and timing involved with success.

-------

Tom Brady was drafted number 199 in the 2000 draft and his NFL career almost never happened. Aside from almost not being drafted, what if Drew Bledsoe didn't get injured in the second game of the 2001 season, giving Brady his chance to prove himself?

I didn't get the playing time in sports I thought I deserved as a kid in middle school as I was a late bloomer. Because of that, I never wanted to let my fate ultimately be in the hands of another person and I decided to be an entrepreneur way before it was the cool thing to do like it is today.

The question then becomes. Who's problem is it to tackle.

No, no it doesn't actually. Single mom momma's boys are statistically prone to be narcissists. Matter of fact, they are in a very high % to be criminals.
