I used it daily for years

As for alternative, I only found similarweb with their chrome addon which is useful for a quick check on any website

While it was not perfect, I loved it for ballpark.

I remember the first time I was a guest at SXSW feeling like some of the speakers should have an Alexa readout over their heads to give a sense how seriously to take their thoughts on the web.

Still works for me, it was not great but it was super fast because you didn't even have to open the website to have a glance of the traffic of any site you only needed to add the site at the end alexa.com/siteinfo/site.com and boom, everything ends

I would imagine there is a much bigger product with much more revenue which the domain owner has prioritized the use for.

Also the Alexa toolbar ranking was not even relevant 15 years ago, let alone in 2022
