Amazing considering worse is being said in my opinion when people start calling each other Nazi's or pedo's etc. then they jump on this? I've known BadDog a long time - had lunch with him in LA with AaronM for christ sakes and he was decent. This is all fake - the personalities on the boards is what we're boasting to each other about yet in real life and in some cases - we're totally different people.

I've seen small pieces of it from various members here and am proud to know you though others may hate you. I support you - call you friend while others attack me but I would not turn my back on a friend.

Then there are those I simply ignore because they try to hard to be a character that I'm sure isn't them but rather is so abrasive that there is nothing there that would make me to ever work with them.

Anyways - I look forward to his return - he's a veteran and personally I think of those who tried really hard to get him banned - consider your own words as well as to see whether they also fall into that group

Banning is a bit excessive given how long he's been on this forum. Veteran members deserve some quarter and a warning would have been plenty.

Went through his last posts...and still can't figure out why he was banned.

He is a veteran here...one of the first people I recognized when I started here around 2001(different username). He might have been a dick even to me here and there, but I take a honest insult over a dishonest ass-kissing any day of the week.

I'm glad to see him temporarily banned. During an argument that he was losing, the guy let loose with a racial slur which is against the rules of GFY. A new thread was created to call attention to it, and he refused to apologize for it. Hopefully Baddog will think twice before he calls anyone a racial slur again.

I would argue that calling someone names is the true sign of weakness. And yes, I am speaking from experience.

When you are in a discussion, you have to be strong enough to make your point against others who have an opposing point. You also have to be strong enough to admit when you are wrong. If you fall to the point of calling someone else a name, then its a sign that frustration at losing the argument is taking over your thought process.

Slipping into racial slurs, or defining a whole group of people by the words of actions of one, is an even bigger mistake and a true sign that a person has not only lost an argument, it is that he was probably never smart enough to participate in it in the first place.

Baddog being banned for his use of an ethnic slur is justified. He knew the rules, he knew not to say it. He said it anyway, and had an entire weekend to apologize for it after being called out, and didn't.

I agree that he knew he'd be banned and I agree baddog/anyone shouldn't be using racial slurs, that doesn't take away from the fact that any little rule broken and Jfalc runs and tattle tells to mods, because he's so weak, & he's a huge bitch for it.

I wouldn't call it a "little" rule. All of the rules of GFY or any other site should all be equal. I'll meet you half-way on this though and say again that if he would have apologized who the person he hurled the racial slur at, he probably wouldn't have been banned, or deserved to be banned.
