His untimely death occurred in Lincoln, NE, during a family visit. In a heartbreaking act of bravery, Jay Henfer lost his life while trying to protect a family member from gun violence. He was visiting his loved ones to celebrate a birthday and was planning to return to his home in Ontario, CA, shortly after.
