Legal insurance for porn production companies?

Hey, looking to get legal insurance that will insure for porn production companies. Mainly those that would cover the legal costs if we were ever to face a massive lawsuit (even though we take a ton of legal safety measures and precautions to ensure we don’t get sued)

Any recommendations or companies that provide this?

What kind of insurance?

Liability if somebody breaks a leg or gets AIDS ?

The former is easy to insure the later impossible.

Sadly the only credible way is having a retainer with a industry lawyer who will try to cover you in all situations but when push comes to shove - you're not going to find any insurance company willing to take the risk. That's what it is all about - "risk". Few studies are done and what is out there are stories from hell so insurance companies do not see themselves making any money from adult companies.

What I always wanted to see was a life insurance plan that covers family of veterans/models who passed in the industry to cover basic costs if not at least 25k. We all put in a % per month and paid out when we die. That way the industry starts looking after those who've given everything to the promotion of adult material or services.

If you are in California you can easily get Work Comp to protect you from claims for injuries on set including HIV.

Contact https://www.statefundca.com/

They will insure adult productions in California since its a legal business there.

In other states, good luck. If you lie about your production they can always deny your claims later.

If you need production insurance to cover your equipment and or locations, again its easy to get production insurance anywhere since they wont care what you shoot.

If you are worried about data breaches you will need cyber security insurance.

You may also want to get a general liability policy for your business to cover if something should happen with one of your vehicles.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation initiated those CalOSHA inspections on Kink and several other producers in LA.

I represented 3 of companies that got hit with fines. I had multiple meetings with CalOSHA over these issues.

They were in the process of working with Obama's fed OSHA to develop a national guideline for condoms and barrier protection for porn production through-out the US.

After Trump got elected he immediately shut down the creation of new federal regulations with an Executive Order.

https://www.politico.com/story/2017/...revoked-234365

While this was obviously not aimed at this industry, after he signed this Executive Order, all of the inspections by CalOSHA stopped and there hasnt been another one since then. The Biden administration didnt pick up this ball.
