Youporn and Pornhub: Access suspended in France from Wednesday

Aylo, the parent company of pornographic sites Youporn, Pornhub, and Redtube, will suspend access to the content of these platforms in France starting Wednesday in protest against the requirement to verify users' age, it announced Tuesday.

"We have made the difficult decision to suspend access to our sites in France as of tomorrow afternoon and to use our platforms to speak directly to the French public," said Alex Kekesi, vice president of community and brand at Aylo, during an online press conference.

Internet users searching for Pornhub or Youporn will encounter a homepage detailing the company's position with an image of the painting "Liberty Leading the People" by French painter Eugène Delacroix.

"Pornhub, YouPorn, and Redtube refuse to comply with our legal framework and have decided to leave. So much the better! There will be less violent, degrading, and humiliating content accessible to minors in France. Goodbye," commented the French Minister for Gender Equality and the Fight against Discrimination, Aurore Bergé, on the social network X.

Probably around 2-3%.
(source: what i remember from my old stats, a long time ago, and google should have pushed more french traffic to me).

There are millions of porn websites out there and politicians tab themself on their shoulder, when they can ban a few after a lot of time and resources put in the process.
