Yahoo search results suck

How do they expect to compete with Google with these results?

I have a hard time finding anything with this new yahoo search.

It sounds like the Austin update all over again.

Lots of people are complaining about loss of Y! traffic due to the new update.

I dont know what the hell yahoo thinks it is doing. It better do a whole lot of updating towards more accurate results.

I almost find it more effective to use my location bar and type

thisiswhatiamlookingfor.com

Then use search.yahoo.com

Yup, I noticed the same thing here - my Yahoo traffic just decreased to 30% of normal.

You think this is going to be permanent, or will it normalize in a month or two?

Its so unoriginal its pathetic. Complete copy of the Google format with fewer things in their index.

If that's their strategy it will never get close to Google's dominance.

Yahoo results are more relevant and less spammy for adult searches at this point. For mainstream stuff, Google is still way ahead.

Good news from yahoo: if you are a Seo-spammer

Ban sites are back.
A lot of sites that Google blocked as link farms sites
Are coming back ...in yahoo

Spammers, check your old sites.

Yep, majority of first page results are spam for a lot of adult keywords.

What I dont understand is why you bunch of dick heads are talking about google in the Yahoo results.
Yahoo bought Inktomi (which powers MSN) last year. Yahoo, last week, switched the data that it used to receive from google, to Data from Inktomi.

Yahoo now has fuck all to do with google, and any results you have now or used to have in Google, have fuck all to do with the results in Yahoo,, as Google no longer powers Yahoo fall through, Inktomi Does.

Results are ordered, Yahoo directory, Overture paid results, then Inktomi.

If you say "Yahoo", forget Google, as Google results are not being presented in Yahoo results any more.

Permanent, no going back, and thats it!!
