I'm going over to the dark side. I have a celeb site that gets around 2k a day, and makes enough $ to make it worth the time, but I want to also have a CJ on it.

I've read everything at CycleJerk and stuff, I'm just wondering if any of you veterans of the jerk biz want to hand me any wisdom.

Sorry Warphead..I think you are cool as hell, but, even being a fan of AWI, I cannot get into the cj stuff. I totally understand why you all do it. But, I don't get why perfectly intelligent people think that this a good thing. You make money for the short term....maybe. But, you are not just fucking all of us...you are fucking yourself, cuz the more cynical the adult surfer gets the worse it gets for all of us. It only takes one or maybe two bad experiences for the average newbie surfer to change
their "clicking" practices. If they get jerked around even once, the next time they are going to be apprehensive. The next time, they are going to be pissed. The next time, they aren't going to be clicking on anything. Get it? This is not just our (non-cj) problem...it is yours too. You are fucking yourself in the end.

I know this is a controversial stance on the subject. I'm not trying to make enemies with this. Make money anyway you can...but, I don't, personally, think this is the way to do it. Moral and ethics aside, after months of reflection and a few business classes in college, this does not compute, in my humble opinion? As I said before...to each his own..I'm not hatin'

I see your point April, but I'm not going all out - I'm following all the CJ2 guidelines, not making a browser-crashing popup-hell.

Also my other sites won't be switching, I'm still running one of the few TGP's with no blindlinks whatsoever - and you're right, the reason I've been so successful is the surfers do "trust" my links.

BUT it's gotta be fun to rack up the numbers. I've never made any money off of a clickthru, it would be nice to see if I can.

And on the other hand, CJ sites make sites with content seem so much better by comparison. If someone clicks around for an hour and doesn't find anything, a decent free site would look like an oasis.

I agree April. Tick a surfer off enough and he will get to where he won't click on ANY site. Then we are all screwed as well as the paysites. Ummm do ya suppose this is part of Dubyas plan to cut taxes/increase income by less spending on porn? Maybe he has some sort of hyno ray emitting from his televised speeches! lol

We're going to invade Canada next month and take on all their 40 armed servicemen. The first lady wants a garden out back.

are 2 totally different niches.

Celeb CJ's can't trade with straiogh softcore
teen or hardcore site, because the
productivity will be bad. So you gotta be

Also add some content (easy to find) so

I'd have to disagree with you and April's post. The problem with surfers is nowadays they see too much free shit, tgp's with thousands of pics, free sites with 50+ pics, etc etc. It's always a good thing to slap a surfer right across the face with a CJ and bring his happy ass back to reality.

If it wernt for cj2 sites and no content sites (not the huge cj sites with fake layers ect) people would all run tgps and there would be no point for pay sites becuase every site people went to would have free content.... Its already to mcuh on the net.. free live feeds, movies, millions of galleries... why do we need pay sites?

I wasn't commenting on free sites or anything other kind other than cj's. I agree with you wholeheartedly about too much free porn. I have quite a few free sites where their main purpose is to pump traffic to my avs sites. I also put nothing but softcore on them, no penetration of anykind, including blow jobs. My way of doing things is tempt them as much as you can so they will click on my links or sponsors. I've always done things that way.

The cj argument is a completely seperate one. It is a matter of pissing off surfers and making them overly apprehensive to click on anything. That is a serious problem to some of us.

Warphead, Yah I've heard that cj2 and some others are not as bad at console-hell-leading-to-crashing-browsers. Do whatever suits you, of course. I admit the numbers are good as far as click thrus...I would be interested to know what conversion is like on sponsors. Not that I'm considering it for myself LOL. Sounded like I was getting ready to jump on board.

anyways, yes, a cj 1 site will definately get a surfer mad, but i don't think they'll give up on their search for free porn. Especially if they know what tgp's are.

They usually just get confused if they really don't understand the concept of cj.

Somebody needs to do a real study on this stuff. Find out if there are realy too much free stuff. Free samples sell a product. Like at the grocery store. But there are always the poor free loaders that just take the samples and never buy. But if they like it enough they will buy. Selling porn is an art. You need to tease. Not please. But at the same time you don't want to trick bag a person into making you money. Repeat customers help in the long run. And as far as there being too much free stuff. Well that is just because there are too many webmasters. In the long run if you treat the customer right they will keep coming back. If they didn't spend money the first ten times then they might be willing the eleventh time when they are looking at the same shit and can't get off.

Anyways Just my 50 bucks worth

Stats say that you get about 12K hits/day.
What kind of $ can you make with that traffic?

I see that you target=_blank a new window when someone clicks on the amateurpages banner/text link. Isn't that against the program rules?

Otherwise, it's a nice clean (on the surface) looking site.
