Outlook Express - Anyone an expert?

How do I do that "autoarchive" thing.. where it will archive messages older than X for a specific folder?

I am starting to see some fucked up things happen w/ OE on some large folders (100k+ messages) now. Like find message broke on the main inbox.. Will only search up until august 14th or so. :/ Also messages are starting to "duplicate" themselves whenever I check mail.. wtf?

All in all I have a million and three folders.. Prolly about 500k or so messages all combined. Yes. I never delete anything. I like to keep it for archival/search purposes later down the road.

So.. anyone know how to archive? I'm sure the .pst files are like 4GB by now, be nice to clean them up (but ONE folder I CANNOT have shit moved out of!! It's not super large, but theres some old things that I need to keep in there for easy access)

Thanks.

-Phil

Hmm.. don't see the "other" tab in options (or anything mentioning autoarchive)

This is Outlook 6.. so prolly a diff. version than what you have.

i hate to not be helpful on a post like this but i have to say it

DONT USE OUTLOOK EXPRESS!!!!!

Outlook Express is the worst email program out there that you can use. It doesnt conform to many standards that are set up. It is not even supported anymore by microsoft.

Please switch to Outlook or any other email program because any email program is better than Outlook Express

Outlook cannot handle this volume of mail (seriously)

Outlook is a single threaded piece of shit.

OE is leaps and bounds better as far as performance is concerned. Otherwise.. Yes, I know it sucks ass.

But.. non-outlook options.. What is there that is actually worth a shit for windows? Too lazy to switch to a vmware enviroment to use linux as a desktop OS..
