I was once fucked by a russian guy over ICQ UIN. I must tell you what i found out. When you buy UIN from someone, and even if you change email, password and details the previous owner CAN STILL RECEIVE YOUR NEW PASSWORD!!

This is the quote from ICQ support:

"We have looked into this matter described in your email and you should be able to regain access to the ICQ number by successfully using the improved ICQ password retrieval service. This enhanced service should provide better assistance to ICQ users by sending the password not only to the Email address currently entered under your ICQ number, but also to a certain email address previously listed in the User?s details of that ICQ number. "

So please don't trust anyone and don't buy UINs from russians. Of course my UIN was working for a couple weeks and suddenly it stopped, the password and user details were changed.

Yes, I think that Mirabilis introduced their enhanced password retrieval service to stop selling UINs. Now when you buy UIN and change details previous owner can still regain access to this UIN
