Before I even ask the question let me say that a business practice I do not film anyone under the age of 25. And that policy will never change as long as I draw a living from porn.

OK,

If for whatever reason....
Something happens and it suddenly becomes 100% legal to make adult films with girls as young as 14.

The question is "would you?" Reasons?

No, I wouldn't. Very few people that young could possibly realize the permanence of such an action.

Besides, I'm not much of a photographer.

You see I got to thinking about this because of two things.

1) The age of sexual consent in Quebec is 14.
2) The last time I was at the XRCO awards... A large portion of the female stars couldn't get into the bar because they were 18.

Now personally I have always.. ALWAYS...
Been in favour of a higher age of consent for porn. Some say 21 is good. I could live with that.

But there still these questions that bug me.

2) If an 18 year old is mature enough to fight for his country, why can't he buy beer? (Quebec he can)

3) If 21 is the age to buy alcohol. Why isn't it the age used for porn?

Of course. Any type of age-ism is discrimination. 18 is just the current discrimination age.

I am happy enough to admit I would be fine with promoting softcore LEGAL 14 year olds.

But nothing hardcore, that gives me shivers up my spine (just thinking about it)..

I would never be able to shoot content of that sort. Ack.!! But if it's there to promote, and it's legal, I'd give it a go. If it suddenly became legal there would be a fucking HUGE market for it, then I could get rich and spend the rest of my life pondering the morality of it all.

good observations - unfortunately there are alot of self righteous webmasters who swear they wont touch any girl under 18 - that she doesnt know what shes doing, yet if shes 17 and her birthday is close - is she going to have a sudden evolution of common sense that will tell her what shes getting into? Girls arent idiots - and common sense is not given based on age - I have seen immaturity in 30 and 40 year olds that would rival kids.

Many webmasters would if they could, for one simply reason - the money and demand. If they had a moral or ethical feeling then that would be gone when they hear that the government has made it was Legal.

Just to play devil's advocate for a moment. Seeing as the age of consent is 14 to 16 in this world.

If a pornographer found himself in Arizona or Quebec and a 14 year old girl was offering it up. Would he/she have the sex without the camera.

Or is there a sudden "ethic" thing that kicks in the moment a camera appears.

GFY is full of BS artists who for the most part would sell their car, grandmother, left testicle or soul for a blowjob and fuck if it was offered to them. Whether it was from a granny offering a toothless BJ but more than certain they would jump on any BJ or fuck if they thought they could get away with it... and that includes a 14 year old.

In saying that I would like to add that I am confident that the decent photographers and adult industry vet's have common sense and have seen more than one pussy in their life to not give a shit about grabbing another boobie and would even today turn down a bj or fuck from any model despite their age purely for integrity reasons.

1) Kind of goes back to my origional statement. You trust a 14 year old to say, "Hey I'm old enough to fuck adults." But not old enough to make adult decisions.

2) I agree a line has to be drawn. But I think that line should apply all across the board. IE: Voting, buying booze and consenting to sex should all be the same age.

3) Yes 21 is MUCH better in my opinion. Like I said earlier, I won't film anyone under 25... But I still think it's a bit young but I could live with a 21 min requirement. (I just haven't met many 21-year-olds that knew their assholes from a hole in the ground)

But of interesting to also note....
I have noticed that young looking 25-year-olds look a hell of alot hotter for the "teen" market than most real teens do.

Like I mean if your market is good looking really young girls....

Why not make it 65 for women and 71 for men, and drinking age must be raised to 79, think about it for a second, a 79 year old man is very unlikely to do anything stupid after getting drunk, that'll reduce the number of bar fights to 2 a year

1. I'm not going to argue other countries laws (I've never been to Quebec). But in America at 18, you can fuck a 50 yr old and also vote.

2. The drinking age has changed alot over the years, and if you just look into the history books you will understand this one. Simply (here in America), at age 18 most kids are still in highschool. Which obviously fills the highschools with alcohol. There were also problems with DUIs at that age. Would you trust a 40 yr old driving on ten beers, or a 16-18 yr old driving on five beers.

Like I said, just check the history books and you will find out the MANY reasons the age for drinking was brought up to 21.

3. As stated above, there are reasons for the legal drinking age of 21. The reason porn is at 18. Is because the age of 18 makes someone a consenting adult. They may vote, live under their own (not their parents) rules, etc etc.

Basically, you can't really use the legal age of alcohol consumption as a comparision to anything else. It's based off it's own set of history and blunders. None of which any other age groups fall into.
