Anyone know a good US immigration lawyer?

I'm in the US with an L1 Visa which basically means if I get fired from my job I have th leave the US. So, it turns out that a green card application can take about two years to process and there are no guarantees. I'm assuming if I drop a nice $20K for a top notch lawyer I could get things moving faster.

Nope you can not move it any faster. And the attorneys will charge you about 10 times that because of the high demand.

I could just get someone to merry me for $20K, but the whole point is I want to stay in the US legally and without inconveniences.

Perhaps I didn't make it clear. I'm not looking for a lawyer to help me fill out a bunch of forms. I'm looking for one who can get my form to the top of the pile.

you can take this for what its worth.... not an attorney but been through it many times. first, immigration law is largely a scam if there is not a specific legal problem that warrants legal representation.

either there is another approach... which can be explained to you in a 10 minute consultation or you can file to adjust your status or you can't. if you can, all you have to do is fill out the forms and send them in. otherwise an attorney is going to fill them out for you for 5-10K. i doubt there is any middle ground. you can read about the visa and its limitations and what you can and cannot do and then just fill out and file the forms and send them in.

Wrong.

Well Not quite. I have a lot of family in Israel and we have been applying for a GC for many years now.

Getting the GC through the DV Lottery is still a lottery.

But most likely this guy is Jewish and living in Israel is the best place for him. So being from Israel wont help him, it might instead work agaisnt him.

My family is Jewish and immigrated here from Russia where we were given political refugee status. He wont get that being from Israel.
