Adult Business is not so big...

When we compare it to another online business, like Forex, that moves 100+ more money than XBiz. Or the stock market. Or Pharmacy, that moves 10 times more than xbiz. Just some examples to show you that Xbiz is not the biggest online biz in terms of money.

Also, try to ask Visa which percentage the Adult Business represents of their overall. LOL. 1% with luck.

You're right, 100 billion a year is insignificant.

We should all quit.

The error is yours. He said the "adult business"... nowhere did he specify the online part of it only.

The entire adult biz in the world collectively may even do more than that. VHS, DVD sales, rentals, pay per view in hotels and on digital cable, mail order vids, adult magazines....... this guy is whacked.

And adult has always only been a small percentage of visa overall transactions, but it also comprises nearly 80% of the interweb.

Again, the guy is whacked. But that's okay, we're all a bit whacked in one way or another. :D

Who can it be knocking at my door?
Go 'way, don't come 'round here no more.
Can't you see that it's late at night?
I'm very tired, and I'm not feeling right.
All I wish is to be alone;
Stay away, don't you invade my home.
Best off if you hang outside,
Don't come in - I'll only run and hide.

CHORUS:
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?

Who can it be knocking at my door?
Make no sound, tip-toe across the floor.
If he hears, he'll knock all day,
I'll be trapped, and here I'll have to stay.
I've done no harm, I keep to myself;
There's nothing wrong with my state of mental health.
I like it here with my childhood friend;
Here they come, those feelings again!

CHORUS

Is it the man come to take me away?
Why do they follow me?
It's not the future that I can see,
It's just my fantasy

Oh...Who can it be now?
Oh...Who can it...Who can it...
Yeah yeah yeah

But the other markets you mentioned are not exclusively online, so your point is rather off to begin with.

Next time be more precise.

Not sure about you, but I'm not really considering myself to be in adult business so I don't think in such categories

Ask Wiredguy if he is a pornguru, or rather an search engine marketing expert
the second one not only sounds better, but is also closer to the truth

Well think of the scope of things here, the stock exchange is composed of every public company, all the richest companies in the world are there. Then encompass the forex markets which includes countries' currencies. Of course the porn business looks minute compared to them.

Cock off all you want skippy, but the other markets and mainstream biz you are attempting to compare "online-only porn" to ALL do a lot of their business off the internet.

Your comparisson is boned big time.

Cheers.

He doesn't seem to grasp that simple aspect of the issue. Maybe I didn't say it right. :D

I stand corrected on the amount of revenue that porn generates though. According to Forbes, as of 2005 anyway, "porn" was generating "a conservative estimate of 10 to 14 billion dollars annually"

Yes, it's tiny by comparisson to certain other markets. And the planet Earth is tiny when compared to the size of the galaxy. Whoop-de-fucking-dooo. :D

Exactly, this isn't even a comparison in the same ballpark. Comparing every industry in a country (stock market) to a single industry (adult) is absurd.

There actually aren't many other businesses that can lay claim to 1-2% of all Visa transactions. In light of that, adult is actually quite huge.

I think you have no fucking idea what you are talking about...

I was talking about the ONLINE FOREX... ONLINE FOREX is only 1% of the total FOREX MARKET! (same applies to the other markets, online stock trading, online pharmacy, online casinos... all of them are just a small part of the real market)

And even considering this, Online Adult biz is DAMN SMALL in comparisson with ONLINE FOREX.

So, no, I'm not comparing oranges with apples.

Before you open your mouth, use your brain.

So was I. Online Forex, Online Stockmarket, Online adult. Its all a smaller percentage of their equivalent markets. Online forex is still based on foreign exchange, just a different medium of exchange, same for stocks and same for adult.

adult is not 100 billions a year, its much less. more like 20 billions a year unless you start counting whatever each hooker charges etc...

online adult is a nice biz with several billions yearly but its much smaller than online gambling, online pharma and most of the other big online biz as hosting, stocks, forex, electronics, ecommerce in general etc...
adult used to big the biggest upto 1998 or so... get real dudes, its only porn
