IPCC are idiots... HUMANS are causing global warming and more storms??

Riiiight.. They sure didn't base their report on expert opinions...

Most stupid article ever?

Oh well, there will be many like this coming out in the next few days from US "scientists". $10000 for everyone who speaks up offered now.

Yeah, it's funny how things keep getting worse and worse and yet... they're still the same. And this year wasn't nearly as bad as last.

I find it funny that 30 years ago (1974), these "experts" predicted that all the signs pointed to us going into an ice age!!
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/ar...944914,00.html

So apparently, we went into an ice age 30 years ago, made a bunch of pollution with our hair spray and are now heating up the world too much.

It doesnt take much science to see there are climate changes now. Its not all caused by humans, but the little difference that tip it in unstable directions is caused by us.

Really... so apparently this guy was an expert when the IPCC was using him, but now that they're completely disregarding his expertise (which they based reports on before), he's no longer qualified. Riiight... you've apparently got a lot more knowledge on the subject, please enlighten us about your research into paleoclimatology and how we are all going to die because of global warming caused by humans. lol.

http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/s...cd20bed2f6&k=0

There's the first article in the series, and it's got a lot of FACTS about the players on the VERY POLITICAL "Global warming" subject.

of COURSE there's climate change.. but certainly not JUST because of us. Pollution is bad. Pollution should STOP. Pollution by humans does NOT cause global warming (it may contribute in a negative way, but on such a minute scale as to not even be noteworthy).

Yup, let's see... we have hurricanes, global warming, nuclear weapons, terrorists, running out of oil....

LIVE IN FEAR!!!!

In a world where people want "world peace", the people we look to for it are the ones that are preventing it by making sure we are in constant fear of something.

fear makes people suggestible to almost anything.."oh god im scared make me safe"!..
"well ok but we will have to take some of your civil and human rights away to do so".."thats ok just save me"..

as Kurt Vonnegut said " we are parisites walking the earth"

when I first read that I was offended, now I agree 1000%

Ok i didnt read this entire thread but what about the ice age? how the hell did that happen? It must have been from all those cars the dinosaurs were driving.

Im not totally sure if i buy into the whole global warming thing. Pollution is obviously bad for the environment but i dont believe it directly effects the weather.

Yup, now that's we've done away with aerosol and made cars without black smoke coming out of the back, we've managed to reverse the ice age and make the world too hot in 30 years.

Your thinking in this is correct, sir. We are in an interglacial period after the end of an ice age.. of course there is going to be a strong warming trend.. and for anyone who's done any study on paleoclimatology, they will quickly realize that this warming trend we are experiencing now is VERY mild compared to the violent earthwide climate changes that came in VERY short periods of time (a matter of 2 years or less in some cases) after actual global cataclysms such as meteor strikes and volcanic eruptions.

According to scientists, we should be more worried about the effects of the sun on global warming ;)

Read this article and see who it is who is doing the talking, then ask if I have proof lol. How about asking NASA Scientists, Climate Experts etc, or rather, read the articles and see what they have to say for yourself. Don't take MY word for it :P

For those too lazy to click, here's a nice quote:

"NASA's findings in space come as no surprise to Dr. Habibullo Abdussamatov at Saint Petersburg's Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory. Pulkovo -- at the pinnacle of Russia's space-oriented scientific establishment -- is one of the world's best equipped observatories and has been since its founding in 1839. Heading Pulkovo's space research laboratory is Dr. Abdussamatov, one of the world's chief critics of the theory that man-made carbon dioxide emissions create a greenhouse effect, leading to global warming.

"Mars has global warming, but without a greenhouse and without the participation of Martians," he told me. "These parallel global warmings -- observed simultaneously on Mars and on Earth -- can only be a straightline consequence of the effect of the one same factor: a long-time change in solar irradiance."

Dr. Abdussamatov goes further, debunking the very notion of a greenhouse effect. "Ascribing 'greenhouse' effect properties to the Earth's atmosphere is not scientifically substantiated," he maintains. "Heated greenhouse gases, which become lighter as a result of expansion, ascend to the atmosphere only to give the absorbed heat away."

The real news from Saint Petersburg -- demonstrated by cooling that is occurring on the upper layers of the world's oceans -- is that Earth has hit its temperature ceiling. Solar irradiance has begun to fall, ushering in a protracted cooling period beginning in 2012 to 2015. The depth of the decline in solar irradiance reaching Earth will occur around 2040, and "will inevitably lead to a deep freeze around 2055-60" lasting some 50 years, after which temperatures will go up again."

We aren't having the worst storms in history, the coldest winters, or the craziest winters. We have had much more extremes of each over the last 100 years. For some reason people think Global Warming happens in a 10-year span - or over your lifetime... it happens over 1000's of years.

Lets think of this. A single volcano explosion pretty much fucks things up, so a bunch, historically will really screw things up. This mass pollution can and has killed millions, coldest winters in history, people died, but at the end of the day, the earth cleans itself, and the cycle resets.

If global warning is true then it has been happening for the last 15,000 years.
