One reason there is a market for skim/feeder traffic...

Of the 5k hits I got from choker yesterday in the girlfriend thread...

4750 uniques were reported as of this morning, and 1450 bookmarked.

Thanks choker! That is a potential 1400+ of what most would say are freeloaders or uninterested, but when they are ready to buy I will be there with a chance to sell.

We do our best to send out only QUALITY visitors.

It also really depends on the site you're sending the hits to - so you must have a pretty good site.

How do you know the exact number of bookmarkers from a specific traffic source?

Because the site gets trickle traffic. So the hits they sent yesterday (3300) and today (1500) recorded approx. 1430 bookmarks. About 29% for the month of May, which is what I average almost every month no matter how much traffic I feed into it.

These numbers may not be exact but still damned impressive considering.

Oh yeah... the design work I tried contacting you about via email AND icq SEVERAL times just to be ignored?

Then you contacted me 6 months later asking me to finish it and I told you my plate was full.

Sorry, but I don't want to have this conversation again.

My contact info is in my sig. I like to play fair, maybe we can work it out, maybe not.

Honestly, I'm over it.

That's a piss poor attitude. If he paid for a service and it did not work out, even if it was on him you refund the money. You don't get to keep it..

30% bookmark rate? Sorry, but I find that hard to believe, especially from broker traffic... unless by clicking on a gallery link they get autobookmarked

Gideon...

Your work is still on my server. I had 3 models finished and ran into a problem. I tried contacting you about it several times over different mediums. No sign of you for weeks. I need to live so I moved on to do more paying jobs. Still dropping a "hello are you there" every once in awhile. No sign of you at all. Ever.

6 months later you message me bitching about it. I didn't like your attitude, but I explained the situationanyway, and you bitched some more. I basically told you to go fuck yourself if you were going to be a dick, and again I got no response from you. I tried again an hour or two later, still no reply. Ever.

That was the last I heard from you until you pop into this thread. So say and do what you want. The work I did finish is here... http://illcreations.com/clients/gideon/

You are welcome to it. It has been there for a year, it may stay another year.

No sales.

Quite a few first page hits.

Maybe about 50-75 join page hits between the 2-3 main sponsors for the page.

you're counting noref which doesn't equal bookmarkers
a part of the feeder traffic is noref as well.

That site is still a work in progress. My review writer left and I had to link all the sites on the left to the tours until I can get my reviews finished. I won the traffic and just wanted to throw it towards that site in hopes of something.

Teach me. I will get in touch through your forum. Soon.

awstats counts bookmarks as hits to favicon
but firefox hits favicon every time you focus the site
which make those numbers useless.

I have another project I am working on that I plan to buy some feeder traffic for and it should work out pretty nicely.

How about taking a TGP with 40 or so niches and sending each niche page about 5k of niche traffic. All outgoing trades for these pages will be niche specific partners as well. I think it will turn out rather nicely, and drop about 200k on my site in one shot, hehe.

I'm pretty sure MSIE does that these days as well.

Murderous, it's what happens AFTER the traffic stops that is important. I recently purchased $100 worth of broker traffic (from 4 different brokers) and the bookmarker rates were appalling. It's been about 2-3 weeks and in the past 24h, less than 10 bookmarkers per broker have loaded the site. This is from 4-5k worth of feeder each broker.

You're going to spend $500+ on feeder for a new site? Ballsy.

Don't get too excited about 200k dumped on your site, for some of the less popular niches it could take literally months to deliver 5000 uniques.

Not correct... the people at awstats realize that and base the calculation only on the number of actual surfer-initiated requests made by IE for favicon, scaling up that number to reflect total visitors.

BUT...

IE does sometimes request the favicon without any action on the part of the surfer; many RSS feed readers request it (obviously only relevant on some sites); and quite a lot of Firefox users apparently surf with their browser disguised as IE (heaven knows why) but still requesting favicon automatically. So yes, the estimated numbers are likely to be much higher than reality.

You are welcome to it. It has been there for a year, it may stay another year.

i really can't believe you are trying to re write history this way

You didn't design the base template tootie did. The problem was she designed it to work in photo shop and i asked her to make sure it would work in fireworks (because i had coded a fireworks extension that would act as mx loader control for secondary pictures). Unfortunately while she followed all of my design instructions when she saved them in png format the slicing rules did not get carried across so i was stuck with a single big picture unsliced.

She proved that it work by sending me the html that she got when she ran the export wizard from image ready.

That why i contracted you. you were supposed to layer the girl specific images into the template for 20 girls total.

i gave you 4 images (1 head shot, 1 laying down image, two standing image) of each girl and 4 psds.

you were supposed to go thru the four psds
1. replace the girl with the appropriate picture (head shot for head shot, laying down picture for laying down picture, standing picture for standing picture)
2. change the background color to match the background for the girls site.
3. run the slicing wizards and export it to html files
4. give me those files

at first you claimed you had taken on to many projects and asked if you could put me on the back burner, and since i was not planning to launch for 2 months i said it was ok.

Two months later i hit you up expecting the work done and no response.

I kept hitting your icq asking you to hit me up when you got online. No response until 6 months later you hit me up.

You were given 10 girl sets and you had only completed 3. Instead of layering the matching picture you layered the same picture on each slide. and worst of all you gave it to me in a psd format that i couldn't use because I DIDN"T HAVE PHOTO SHOP.

I will admit i got upset about that, but by the end of the conversation you admitted you had not done what i had asked. I asked you to do the work correctly or refund the money. At which point you said you were busy now. to which i offered you an easy middle ground. I told you if you manually fixed tooties work by exporting it as fireworks png and then manually slicing the files so that the slice sizes and positions matched the original documents you could keep 1/2 what i paid you.

Even if you included downloading and install the 30 day trial of fireworks that would have taken you a max of hour and a half.

The last thing you said was "i will juggle a couple of things around and get back to you"

And i never heard back from you at all. and every offline post to your icq goes unanswered for months.

I notice your post and post a request for you to hit me up you jump down my throat. Look if you are not going to do the work just give the money back and be done with it.
