What's wrong with my Firefox? Blonde question

I recently installed the new version of FF replacing it with a VERY old version. For some reason, now the background images or something aren't coming through. Here's what GFY looks like:

It's like that on most pages and on some message boards, the lines are missing.

Here's how it's set up:

All banners load fine.

I'm sure it's something really, really simple, but I am totally lost

Your first problem is that you're using FireFox.

GFY loads fine for me in FF just SLOW as hell, but that's normal for FF. The main reason I refuse to use it much.

Whuch version are you using your options tab look different than mine. And I'm have the last version of FF 2.0

FF is very slow for me too compared to IE... no idea about your problem though, Peaches.

No, it's not just GFY, it's EVERY site. SOMETHING'S not loading.

Crap, I went to check and realized I loaded an old version back on hoping that would help. It didn't. Right now I have 1.5.0.11 but it also happened when I was using 2.0.0.3 I can't remember the version I had before - it was one of the first ones though.

Fokk.

I think most people are using 2.0. Not sure if the solution for 2.0 would help in 1.5 or vise versa. try this

Also, when I pull down a pulldown menu, there's no contrast, if that makes sense....I'll look for an example.

I've done that too

I guess I'll just deal w/ it until I get a new laptop.

It would make sense if I did ANYTHING else besides install a new version or if it was happening on an old version too. Though I have to admit, GFY is a lot easier to read this way.

Maybe one of your add-ons, if you have them screwed something up. Not all add-ons for 1.5 worked on 2.0. If you can try disabling all of them, clearing the cache closing FF and then restarting it.

I just changed a setting in my FF yesterday, and GFY loads very fast now.

Yep. Uninstalled, restarted, cleared cache, restarted.

It hates me.

What a shame you sold your mac! I recently got a new MacBook Pro, I found it really easy to get accustomed to and it has dramatically cut the time it takes me to do things!

Yeah I have 2.0 and all sites work fine. The only problem is that it freezes sometimes for a couple of seconds while or before loading.

I felt totally retarded trying to use it I think if I hadn't kept my old laptop right next to it, I would have tried harder to learn it. But...someone on Ebay got a REALLY good deal on a barely used MacBook Pro.

Then I ordered a Sony Vaio. Sony has pissed me off about accessories I ordered with it and right now it's packed up ready to ship back.

I'm being "laptop fickle" these days.

There's something wrong with your FF interpreting CSS... the bg on GFY is set via CSS, and that paybill is certainly css related...
