Yeah, I think any device that connects to the internet is likely to be tracking data. Whether it would be classed as spying or whether the NSA would use it I dunno.
I doubt it now but who knows in a few more years.

Your electric box that divert power to your entire house can spy on you and I believe they have RFC chips installed which should be capable of identifying what electric devices you have installed....
I was reading that somewhere. I have no idea if it's true

I saw a related article that said many home devices can be hacked by 12 year olds. Meaning, easy.

In fact there is a competition going on at various summer camps and schools that encourage teens to hack and then reveal the hacks. They get cash and scholarship money etc...

But the point was be careful what you do in the living room/bedroom/bath while watching porn...

Sad really. We are becoming prisoners of the vary technologies meant to improve our lives.

Pretty stupid article. We know the tv and our cable box is hooked up the Internet, as well as laptops and tablets. Some of items on the list are not yet doing this but will be "soon" according the article.

They missed out a few items, however. Some fridges are hooked up to the net, as well as MP3 devices. I have an itouch, and I don't connect it the wireless connection, but I'm sure every time I connect it to my pc it's downloading and then uploading data through itunes. This article didn't discuss our cars either.

Pretty crappy article really. Gave us the obvious, some items that will be coming "soon", and then skipped a bunch of items we might not think of.
