Any recommened a good Video Editing and Rendering Program that works in 64 bit?

Getting a monster system made up, and need video editing software that works in 64 bit environment to utilize all of the RAM.

Thanks!

I would try demos of the main editing apps and see which interface you like better to help make your decision between Adobe Premiere Pro and Sony Vegas, Avid Express or Final Cut Pro for the Mac. I use Premiere Pro, and I read this one a video forum recently, Anthony.

"Technically Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 is not a "64-bit" app. But its fully supported with Vista 64. I've seen it run on V64 and it is fast and solid with 7 other Adobe apps open in the background on a laptop with 4G Ram. I'm moving to Vista64 having seen this demo."

Also, if you are doing your own video encoding, it may matter as much or more how a standalone video encoding app like Cleaner XL or Sorenson Squeeze performs on your 64 bit machine than just the editing app itself if you are intending to do batch video encoding of multiple files to multiple formats.

What OS?
Windows, Nix or Mac?

If its windows I would go with Adobe Premier Pro, and maybe a certified boardset if you have the money.

Or check www.pinnaclesys.com

If you want something that really kicks ass, get a Matrox boardset. Just a small one.
http://matrox.com/video/en/home/

The software runs off the boardset and that allow you to edit the video source in native format and spits it out realtime. A RT or LE board is at a Fair price now.

I recommend you spend some time on http://forums.creativecow.net/ in their forums. Take a good look at whats there, and match it with what you need.
