Anyone know how to reformat a Dell Dimension E520 with 2 HD?
Hey guys, I have a pretty big problem and I'm hoping that someone here can help me out. Here's the deal...
I have a Dell Dimension E520 with Dell DataSafe (two hard drives, second one is hidden and mirrors the first one). I got a virus in it a couple weeks ago, and in the process of getting rid of the virus, I fucked the computer up pretty badly. Guessing I deleted some stuff that I needed, but not sure. Been trying to use Norton Ghost to recover everything, but for some reason I can't get that to work either. Gives me an error message whenever I try to do anything (recover, backup, etc). So my first question is...does anyone know how to fix Norton Ghost? Ideally, I'd like to just be able to recover my computer to the way it was before I got the virus. I'm starting to think that might be an impossibility though, so my second question is...does anyone know how to completely reformat a Dell with the DataSafe hard drives? I'm wanting to make sure that both HD's are completely reformatted, because right now it appears that the virus is still on the mirrored drive. Any help that any of you can give me would be greatly appreciated, as I have been messing with this for over a week, and still can't get it to work. Thanks, Slam Designs |
