I was actually on a smoking plane in Europe (circa 2001)...Pretty sure Italy to Spain. The smokers had to be in the back, but still!

I was on a NYC to Moscow Aeroflot plane where you could smoke a few years ago. Everyone was smoking and drinking on that plane. ;) Not sure if that is still the case with Aeroflot.

Back then they at least piped in fresh air. Now it's recirculated. So if that one sick person coughs, now you're sick too. Two vacations were ruined for me last year because of sick people on a plane.

Watch Mad Men. Besides focusing on how smoking happened everywhere (including the OB/GYN lighting up during an exam), they show all the other "bad" things we did then. One of the funniest scenes is the kid running in covered in a dry cleaning bag and the mother telling her there better not be clean clothes on the floor ;)
