could this work..
I run a few amateur cam sites, would using a wordpress theme work for a paysite? Would be easy to post updates on main page using the post feature, and the widgets would help with the cam images. What you guys think?

I was actually playing with that idea for a paysite I was working on, the concept seems like it would work pretty well, and so far I've not run into any real snags.
What we did was strip down everything in WP and then installed Gallery (I've always liked Gallery more then Coppermine) once Gallery is setup and filled, I made a page (photos) and I-Framed in the Gallery script. Other stuff like Live Cams, videos, requests, etc each got their own pages created. For the actual blog posts my idea was as follows... Each day a spotlight set would be posted, with a lil bit of text talking about the set, and a few thumbs that would link to it's appropriate gallery section. Other posts would be updates, and info posts in general. I have not finished the site or gotten the chance to test it, but overall like I said the concept seems doable, and I think it is deff worth giving it a shot. On a side note, I'm also looking to test out WP as a freesite style site I'm thinking it will work very well for SE traffic due to the combo of RSS and keywords in the posts. -Loki-

we're doing this now.. it's pretty simple with the hardest thing getting single posts to post into the content boxes.. and thats rly not that hard either.
wp-super-cache will come in handy too otherwise when you get slammed with traffic WP can be pretty harsh in its naked form
