...is amazing...but even more amazing is R&D they are doing for soldiers of the future. They are predicting soldiers of the future will be similar to "Robo Cop as portrayed in the movies" in that they will be less vunerable to being injured and will have super strength due to the combat uniforms they will be wearing.

Yes i agree but why does it still seem like hard work not to be able to defeat people in caves with donkeys like in Afganistan

They are defeated when they engage in a firefight with our forces. One of the problems is...they have a safe haven in Pakistan which they cross over from and return to. Another problem is the rugged terrain which eliminates some of our technology from being used. Another problem is they are civilian combatants and merge with civilian non combatants and use civilian non combatants as shields for their operations and we are often (wrongly in my opinion) unwilling to engage for fear of collateral injuries to non combatant civilians.

Some of the SOP's for engaging in war is to first disrupt enemy communications...(which they do not have sophisticated methods of communication)...disrupt supply routes (which we do not make a major effort to do because Pakistan is their major supply route and for political reasons we allow them safe haven in Pakistan). Until Pakistan takes it upon themselves to shut down this safe haven for our enemies or until we are willing to shut down this safe haven ourselves this conflict will continue indefinitely.

Our military knows how to fight wars and win but since the end of the Second World War out military has not be allowed to conduct warfare to win because of political concerns. I for one am a fan of General MacArthur who once stated that "there is no substitute for victory"...and I firmly believe that if we are going to send our military into combat they should be allowed to fight the war as they are trained to do and bring the conflict to a swift end...political consequences be damned. If we are not willing to conduct war properly then...do not engage.

Would be better and make more sense if they did not use the Robocop analogy (cyborg) and instead used perhaps the Space Marine from 40k analogy (man in suit). If that is not well known enough, Ironman would be closer than Robocop.
